I can't believe it's 3am and I'm still up! :P  
Lately my sleep schedule has been WAY out of whack... I'm always so exhausted, but I can never go to sleep - I hate insomnia... One of the worst parts of it all is that the moment I feel like I can actually fall asleep is usually the moment my alarm rings and I have to wake up for work... GRR! I'm sorry I haven't been around LJ too much either - I actually haven't been online much at all in the past few days (which is really odd for me!) I've been indulging myself in mindless TV (which, if you know me, is even more unusual!)

In happier news, I'm currently in the midst of one of the worst eating weeks ever! Every day this week is some kind of lunch sponsored by one of our reps or a wholesaler of one of our annuity or mutual fund companies. Not that I'm complaining (at all) about all the good food that we've been having, but I have been noticing a BIG difference in the way my clothes are fitting me... :P which might be an excellent time to mention that I intend to resume my healthy eating plan as soon as all this holiday merriment is over. ;)

Speaking of which, Tuesday night was our company-wide Christmas Party. Each year our bank sponsors a HUGE party for employees only where we usually go to a nice hotel in Waikiki and eat great food. It's always really nice to go to these events and see all the people I used to work with at other branches since about the only time we can really see each other ends up being at Christmas parties like this. This year's party was fun, but this year it was held at Bishop Museum instead of a hotel in Waikiki and parking was SO horrible (people ended up finding street parking and walking blocks just to get there in one of our really bad neighborhoods!) I'm so glad that I went with two other girls from my office - I would have been much too scared to walk there by myself!

On a short Julie and Kevin note, Julie has apparently signed with the William Morris Agency (WOO HOO for her!) and unfortunately I still have no solid news from Kevin about his specific plans in January. With the holidays coming up and everyone so busy, I haven't been able to do much in the way of updating my sites. I'm still working on a re-design for Julie's site, but now with the holidays here, it looks as if it won't be done until after the first of the year.

I'm off to see if I can get some sleep in before I have to get up for work... Hope you're all having a nice week. :)

Insomnia definitely sucks!! I hope it goes away soon. But usually it's indicative of something on your mind or bothering you...I'm wondering if the upcoming mammogram is bothering you more than you're admitting?

Yeah, that was probably what it was... Hopefully my sleep patterns will return to normal after all this is over.

I completely feel you on the insomnia ordeal. However, my doctor has put me on a new medicine that helps me sleep. It's not really a sleep aid -- it's for anxiety -- but it seems to have worked wonders on my insomnia. (I had gotten to the point where I wasn't falling asleep until 8 AM which... really is pointless because I usually get up then.) I hope your sleep schedule regulates itself soon!!

Insomnia stinks! :P I think my insomnia is highly anxiety related as well. The worst thing is when I keep looking at the clock thinking, "Only 3 more hours until I have to wake up... Only two more hours..." It's awful! :P I'm glad you've found something that has been able to help you in that respect. :)

Oh dear lord, I have been the biggest piglet lately. It has to stop. :( My clothes are still fitting, but I just feel so... BLAH. I know it's from not eating properly or working out like I need to be. :( After Christmas... it's time to get serious.

Yes, insomnia really is bad. For some days now it's for me also difficult to fall asleep so that I got about 2 hours of sleep the last nights. Luckily, my four-legged alarm clock worked very well this week and I don't have to work tomorrow. :) I remember that my grandmother always said that a cup of hot milk with a spoon of honey, drunken a short time before you go to bed or if you are already in bed, shall work wonders so that you quickly will fall asleep after you drunk it. Since I only like hot milk in connection with cocoa, I never tested it up to now and so I can't say if it really works.

Hope your sleep schedule will be better soon! Oh, and I should join your healthy eating plan after the holidays. :)

I'm sorry you've been dealing with insomnia too - but I'm glad that your furry alarm was working. ;) I should really try your grandmother's secret warm milk recipe one night. :)

And you don't need a healthy eating plan, Sabine!! I've seen you! :)

I hope you can get some good sleep soon. I am in the same boat sleep wise. I sleep for like 4 hours, wake up, and then can't go back to sleep.

Lately too, I haven't been on LJ very much like I used to. It's like after you take the trip, you come back then tired...and then takes time to pick up stuff again. Anyhoo, you take it easy, Sheri.

Insomnia is the worst! It just gets so frustrating...I hate nights like that. :( I hope you manage to get some good, quality sleep soon! :)

Frustrating is right!! :( Sometimes it starts off with anxiety, but it ends up being the frustration of not being able to sleep that keeps me up! :P
