A very nice surprise...
What a wonderful surprise it was yesterday when, in the middle of my morning trades, my boss called me out of my office to "see something." My first thought was that I was in some kind of trouble... but when I came out and everyone yelled, "Happy Birthday!!" I almost cried (yes, those of you who have been reading my journal for a while already know what a sap I am!) They bought breakfast from my favorite breakfast place and one of my co-workers even made her famous peanut butter cupcakes that I love so much! I was completely touched that they would plan something so thoughtful. :) And though my job can be a real headache at times, I would never consider leaving it because of all the wonderful people I work with - they're the best! :)

On a Sydney note, we haven't been able to schedule a follow up appointment yet, we're waiting for the vet who examined her at the other office to get back from vacation (he'll be back on Friday) to see what our next step is. Thank you all so much for your good thoughts for Sydney... she seems to be completely unaffected by all of this. She still goes around barking at the neighbors, bringing all her toys to us and demanding us to play with her, jumping in our arms so we'll carry her up the stairs - basically being her little diva self. ;) We're pretty concerned about all of this because she's already been through so much, but we're trying not to worry too much until we speak with the vet on Friday.

On a completely separate LA theatre note, I have to say that Cornell Christianson is one of the nicest people I've come into contact with in a long time. He wrote the book for Kevin's new show It Came From Beyond. I emailed him to ask permission to use a few photos for Kevin's site and he was MORE than gracious in his reply. I can't wait to see the show - it should be great!! :)

I have to run to work, but I wanted to thank you all again for your good thoughts for the fuzzy dog! I will definitely know something more by tomorrow. Hope you all have a nice Thursday! Big *HUGS* to you!

Happy Birthday, and of course, good wishes for Syd's appointment!

Thanks so much! And we're really hoping that they tell us that Sydney will be fine... Poor fuzy has to go back to the vet! She's going to hate us, I tell you!

All the best to your dog Sydney. I know it´s going to be just fine. You´ll get through this and I am sure it won´t be anythink serious!

Thanks so much for the good thoughts for Sydney, Hannah - hopefully it's nothing serious. I think Mark & I would be much more worried if Sydney wasn't acting like herself, but she seems to be fine. We're still concerned about it and will get it checked (hopefully this weekend), though.

Awwww how sweet of your fellow workers. :)

Please try not to worry too much about Sydney. I will keep praying for you and Mark, and Sydney.

They are extremely sweet - I really can't say enough how wonderful it is to work with such a great team. :)

I think Mark & I are concerned, but not too worried at this point. We'd probably be much more worried and in a panic if Sydney wasn't acting like herself - thankfully she is so we're hopeful that it's nothing too serious. Thanks so much for your good thoughts and prayers for her, though! We really appreciate it!
