Went to dinner last night with Susan...
...which was absolutely wonderful (I really don't see her as often as I'd like to) :( then I came home, checked LJ a bit, and then promptly fell asleep. :P I just hate when I do that when I have so much to do!! :[ Sadly, I didn't get to do even a third of the things I needed to do online. :P Sometimes I just wish there were more hours in the day. :{ Working a full time job and then working on building a business in what's left of the hours I'm awake (and fully functional) is really starting to take its toll on me. Not that I'm complaining AT ALL, since I really LOVE what I do, I just wish there were 30 hours in the day instead of just 24...

As I'm running out the door for work (late as usual,) there are a few things this morning that I feel compelled to write about...
  • My friend and co-worker, who has been ill for the past week, found out that she may have problems with her gallbladder and may need to have surgery. :( We're all extremely worried about her! :( If you can, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

  • Though I didn't see last night's show, I was surprised to hear that Chris went home on AI. Kat is still my favorite, though she didn't do well on Tuesday night at all... Sad for all the Chris fans out there - and for Chris since he seems like a nice guy. :( All sadness aside, Chris going home puts hubby at a 60% better chance of winning my office's AI contest - and he's pretty excited about that.

  • Finally, have I mentioned lately how wonderfully blessed I feel to have gotten to know Kevin & Julie? They're the best... really! Got the sweetest, most supportive email from Julie yesterday regarding my business. I fail to mention it as much as I should, but at the risk of sounding really sentimental and corny, I fully acknowledge that my life would be completely different today had I not met those two! I wouldn't have gotten interested in web design, met the people I have, or even thought to start my own business. Aside from everything else, they have been incredibly kind, supportive, and wonderful throughout everything that's gone on in my life and in theirs for the past five years. They're so wonderful and just feel so blessed to know them!!
Better run to work (it constantly feels like I'm running late to everything these days...) Thank you all for being so patient with me! :) Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!!

I'm very glad that you had a great time with Susan. Did she say something about Toby's costume? :)

Of course, I'll keep your friend and co-worker in my thoughts. I'm sorry to hear about her problems. I hope everything turns out well for her!

As for Kevin and Julie, I'm happy that you have them, who give you such nice warm feelings, in your life. And I'm sure, they are, like me, happy and thankful to have you in their live. You are truly a wonderful friend, Sheri.

Hope you had a nice day. Take care please and big *hugs* to you!

Susan and I had a wonderful time!! :) We really should see each other more. :) And instead of giving her Toby's costume right away, I gave her a denim jacket for Toby to wear and I think I'll save his costume for his birthday. :) I hope she likes it. :D

Thanks for your good thoughts for my co-worker! :)

And I love Kevin and Julie - they're just wonderful and I know that I owe them a lot for the doors that they've opened in my life. And you are the sweetest, Sabine! I'm definitely the lucky one to have a wonderful friend like you in my life!! Big *HUGS* to you!!

Awww...I'll keep your friend in my prayers.

Nothing against Chris, but I am glad he went home last night. He just doesn't stand out as "the best" of the competition for me. I think Bo Bice was 10 x's better than him.
Sheri: Katharine McPheeshutterbug93 on May 12th, 2006 09:17 am (UTC)
Thanks so much for your prayers for my friend!! It really means a lot to me. :)

I thought Chris was a nice guy, but I wasn't really a fan either. I was surprised to hear that he went, but I don't think he had the best voice in the competition, either.

Not to discount the surgery your friend faces but gallbladder surgery isn't as bad as it once was.
The incisions are small and recovery time isn't as long but I wish her all the best.
You are trying to do too much?..that might be why you are collapsing after work..poor baby.
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on May 12th, 2006 09:21 am (UTC)
It's good to hear that the prospect of gallbladder surgery isn't so awful - it makes me feel better knowing it isn't as bad as it could be. Thanks for your good thoughts for her, though - I really appreciate it, Ilene. :)

And it's funny, but I'm used to being really on the go and busy a lot, but recently, I think I'm getting tired too fast and I don't seem to have the energy I once did. I blame it on getting older. ;)

Thanks so much for your comments, Ilene. Big *HUGS* to you!!

You are so not going for that age thing...paleeze...you are a kid...just a bit overworked.
Whining about age is my domain cupcake...heee.
Hugs to ya and I just have to tease.
It ain't gonna git easier sweetie. *grin*

Heeheee!! :D Big *HUGS* to you, Ilene!! :) Hope your day is much better today!!

I totally understand the feeling of wanting more than 24 hours in the day! I wish there were 48 sometimes! And I also understand the feeling of loving how busy you are, even if it stresses you out sometimes. It's crazy and fun. Enjoy yourself at work today! :)
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on May 12th, 2006 09:24 am (UTC)
Thanks, Rachel. :) 48 hours would be perfect!! That way I could work at my 9 hour day job, have the time to do my web stuff and still have time to get a good night's sleep. ;) But you're right, I really love what I do and though it's tiring and crazy at times, I'd endure just about anything because I love it so much. :)

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, Sheri :( I hope she's doing well & I'll keep her in my prayers!

LOL! I wish there were more hours in a day myself :P And working while managing your own business, wow! :)

Have a nice week, Sheri! Big *hugs!*
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on May 12th, 2006 09:26 am (UTC)
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, Kristen!! I really appreciate it and I know she would too! :)

It's such a shame that we're only limited to 24 hours. ;) Or maybe I wish that I could function better with less sleep. ;) That could work too. :)

Hope you're having a nice week, Kristen!! Big *HUGS* to you!!

I hope everything goes ok with your colleague/friend! :)

I haven't been able to follow AI recently but happened to catch the latest one last night (Elvis thingy). Chris was my favourite in the begining. Even though he sang so well in this one, somehow his body language said otherwise. He seemed so out of it in this episode like he didn't want to be there. sigh. oh well, hope he makes it out there. & may the best one win! ;)
Sheri: Katharine McPheeshutterbug93 on May 12th, 2006 09:30 am (UTC)
Thanks so much, Smitha!! We're all very worried about her, but your kind thoughts are very much appreciated. :)

I do like Chris, I think he's got a very nice voice and he seems like such a nice guy, but you're right, he seemed removed or something in Tuesday's show. He's not my favorite on the show (that would be Kat), but I do admit that he's talented. BTW, I didn't know you guys got Idol there!
Smithasmittenbyu on May 12th, 2006 10:57 am (UTC)
we get most American shows. AI is one of the bigger raves. Plus the Australian Idol is Malaysian born so the craze! So much so they have their own Malaysian Idol, with the copy-cat judges! Somehow though the local one has died out. They have two other shows such as this already.
I'm so cool too bad I'm a loser: (random) infinite joy! Caroleeaudienceawaits on May 12th, 2006 12:55 am (UTC)
I know EXACTLY what you mean about needing more time in a day. I always have this list of things I need/want to do and I hardly ever accomplish anything because there is SO much to do. :( At least what keeps you busy makes you happy! :)
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on May 12th, 2006 09:32 am (UTC)
Very true!! I've recently been thinking about how fortunate I am that I'm actually able to pursue a dream that I love... I never thought I could ever get paid for what I love doing.

I totally wish there were more hours in a day! This week has felt so crazy...I have so much stuff I'm trying to get caught up on, and this weekend coming up is so busy! I hear you on the 30 hours in a day thing. :)

I will be thinking of your friend. I hope everything is okay.

That's so wonderful about Julie and Kevin. It's such a lovely feeling to know people that are just so kind and mean so much to you like that. ♥
Sheri: Julie - Commander in Chiefshutterbug93 on May 12th, 2006 09:39 am (UTC)
Oh, I know you've been awfully busy since you came home!! :( 30 hour days would be perfect for all of us!! Sometimes I feel if I just had a few more hours I could actually catch up with everything. :)

Thanks for your good thoughts for my friend, Karen! I really appreciate it!

And Julie and Kevin are just so wonderful, I've always felt so incredibly blessed to know them!! :)
bigrivermusicalbigrivermusical on May 12th, 2006 04:37 am (UTC)
I think, like Kevin, you are a workaholic! I don't wish that there are 30 hours in a day so that I can do more work! he he.

The concert on Monday night was great! I don't remember Kevin from the Les Mis tour I saw years ago, but he has such a wonderful voice. The concert overall was really good, except it only lasted one hour or so :(

Hey, I read Tami will do "Tick..Tick.. Boom" in June! Can you see it when you'll be in LA area again??
Sheri: Kevin - 2006 Headshotshutterbug93 on May 12th, 2006 09:44 am (UTC)
Haha!! I think a 30 hour day is perfect! What really cuts into my productivity is the silly need to sleep. ;) I wish I didn't have to spend so many hours on that! ;)

Oh, that's right, you went to the concert!!! Is this the first time you've seen Kevin onstage since the LM tour? What R&H songs did he sing? And I can't believe the concert was only an hour! :( I know that Nick directed it... did you see them all after the show?? Ah, I must live vicariously through you. ;)

And I've already made plans to see Tami in "Tick...Tick..Boom" at the Coronet. :) And I'm very excited about it!! :D Are you planning on seeing it?
