Anyone remember watching "Mr. Holland's Opus?"
The reason I ask is because I recently got an email from an actor by the name of Anthony Natale who was inquiring about my web design services. He mentioned he was a friend of Russell Harvard's and had helped with the translation work on "Sleeping Beauty Wakes." He also mentioned that he was the one who played Richard Dreyfus' adult son, Cole in "Mr. Holland's Opus." :)

At first, I have to admit, I didn't remember him from the movie (it was so long ago!) but then I googled him and it came back to me. He's incredibly handsome, incredibly charismatic, VERY active in the community, and just from emailing with him I can tell that he's an incredibly warm and friendly person. :) Here's a link to his photo - http://homepage.smc.edu/natale_anthony/anatal.jpg

Does anyone remember him from the movie? He also mentioned that he was in "Jerry Maguire" - which, sadly, I never got the opportunity to see. :( (Which just proves to me that I need to get out of the house more!) ;) Has anyone seen "Jerry Maguire" and can tell me if they've seen Anthony in this?

In any case, it was very nice of him to contact me and I'm EXTREMELY excited to be working with him on his website!!

In other web news, I also acquired a new client recently who is someone I met back in the "Side Show" days at the Colony Theatre. He now owns a Children's Theatre Company and they want me to design their site. :) I'm VERY excited about working with them!! :)

And finally, Russell was sweet enough to allow me to upload his site to "RussellHarvard.Net", so that has been very exciting for me as well. :) It's odd that all this web stuff comes in waves - sometimes it's pretty slow, and other times, like now so many wonderful opportunities pop up. :)

Hope you're all having a nice week! :) I'm off to get more web work done and check on my fuzzy baby (who actually has been walking recently!!) :) Blessings and love to you all!!

I saw him in some other movie, too, which was rather bad but he was good. I remember nothing except he was a witness to a crime and had to be protected by a FBI agent who signed badly. ;-) That is so cool that he emailed you!

Was it "Two Shades of Blue" with Marlee Matlin? I'm really not too familiar with any of his work aside from "Mr. Holland's Opus" and I think it's time that I rent that movie again, because my memory of the entire movie is fuzzy, at best. :P

Aha! It was "His Bodyguard."

Too bad it was a TV movie (?) I'd love to see it!

And.... oddly enough it's on Lifetime Movie Channel right now!

You just gave me a reason to watch Jerry MaGuire again. :D

*yay Sydney!*

Haha!! I need to rent that movie AND "Mr. Holland's Opus!" Please let me know if you see him. Apparently he has an elevator scene where he signs "You Complete Me". :)

And I know I left a message on your MySpace page, but HAPPPY BIRTHDAY!! :) :)

OH! That's only a HUGE scene!! :D

His character and his girlfriend are in the elevator and are having a private moment. Jerry and (um whatever Renee Zellweger's character's name is) are in there also - they'd just quit their firm. She gets all choked up and Jerry asks her why... she goes on to tell him that the guy told the girl, "You complete me." and she wanted someone to tell HER that.

I know that scene well. :D

THANK YOU!!! :D Birthdays are nice.

Awwwww! Now I have to rent "Jerry Maguire" too!! :) That's so sweet! :D

It was a short little scene, but so huge. :) I think tomorrow, when I don't have to do things for everyone, I will enjoy that movie.

I found out last night that he's also in "Date Movie" in a silly scene (that's depicted in my icon) that spoofs the lovely "Jerry Maguire" scene that you spoke of earlier. :)

Oh Cool! Yes I remember him from the movie, he only shows up at the end though. I saw him when I went to see SBW, matter fact, I went to Starbucks, and he was next to me text messaging. The staff asked him "what do you want?" Anthony didn't notice as he couldn't hear. The staff repeated, so I finally told him that he was deaf, so I tapped Anthony to get his attention :)

Although he doesn't know me, we have a mutual friend (LOL), who passed away last year :( She was a Japanese deaf person. She told me he had a inplant in his ear which is very controversial in the deaf community.

That's so great that you saw him at SBW! I didn't know that he had any connection with the show until he explained how he knew Russell. :)

I bought a couple of used copies of "Mr. Holland's Opus" and "Date Movie" (I wouldn't watch this film if he wasn't in it!) and I plan to watch them this weekend. :) I took a sneak peak at "Date Movie" and got the screen cap for my latest icon. ;)

Have you ordered or seen the instructional sign language video that he was involved in helping to create? I just purchased a copy of it.

I remember the son in Mr. Holland's Opus! That's very cool! I don't, however, remember him from Jerry Maguire; I did see that movie but it's been quite a while.

Nice to have people appreciate your work, isn't it? I wish I had some of your gifts in this area. I used to be able to do webdesign when it was much simpler, but now there are so many options and it's all passed me by. I feel like a real simpleton. However, I can't do everything. Must be selective.

BTW, you might be interested in this: my younger daughter is planning a minor in theater at college!

Thanks so much for your comment, but you know - I'd much rather have the multitude of talents that you have! And I think it's so wonderful that your daughter is minoring in theatre!
