So, Kevin's news has FINALLY officially been announced...
...on Playbill.Com. I would think that it should since he leaves for NYC tomorrow. :)

And now, after all our speculation for the past week about just who was cast in the other roles,... I have to say that I have to agree with shawk that the whole Derek Keeling thing makes even less sense to me now... On a sad note, no Jessica Rush as Lucie either. :(

The good news is that I'm SO much closer to planning my NYC trip than I was just a few days ago. I found air fare for the days that I was looking at, lovely friends (Robin - Wooo!!) who might be up to seeing a show possibly on either Thursday or Friday before a couple of my other friends get to town. And I have found several other friends that I can share my room (and the cost) with for the weekend. VERY excited!!

SOOOO much happiness in NYC right now, I can't even tell you. Kevin, Bets, lovely friends, possibly seeing Van at the BC/EFA flea market (and even if he isn't there, there's SOOO much goodness in NYC right now that it almost doesn't matter to me.... almost...) ;)

I still need to update on my trip yesterday to the Big Island to see my grandmother - who is 95 and who is as feisty and spunky as ever. :)

So many blessings!! Big HUGS to you all!!

Yay! I'm glad your grandmother remains her usual, feisty self. I hope you've got a picture from that trip to post!

Continental changed my flight for the Saturday you're in town - I'm not flying out until the afternoon now, so I'm definitely free both Thursday and Friday evening. I'm planning to take Friday off - I'm off the rest of the week as I'm returning from a cruise early Thursday. (Yes, I'm packing all my late-summer / early-fall fun into one 9-day period!) We should get you to another new restaurant!

I do have some pictures, in fact, I posted them over on my MySpace page under "Family Pictures" (or something like that, I can't remember...) ;)

YAY!! I can't wait to see you!! We should see a show and you can suggest another GREAT restaurant!! :) "A Tale of Two Cities?" "Wonderettes?" Please let me know... Anything else, I'm up for it too! :D

Oh, by all means we have to see the Wonderettes! You've been talking about them forever, I can't wait to see them! but I admit I'd like to see your friend in the other show too - just because you're so fond of him. Other than that, I've heard Boeing Boeing is surprisingly good, and I'd like to see In the Heights as a former Altar Boy I really liked is in it... but there are many other things I'd like to see too!

ETA: Just checked and Wonderettes is dark on Thursday, so Friday night would be the time. I'm excited!

ETA: Drat! It looks like Tale opens on Thursday, so tix are not being sold for that night. You decide which of these two top shows of yours you'd like to see on Friday, and I'm onboard with you!

If you'd like to, let's try and see "Wonderettes" on Friday. :) I'd love to see both shows with you, but I really want to see Bets and that might be the perfect day!! :) It's such a cute show and you'll absolutely ADORE Bets!! :) :) Let me know what you think and if you're okay, I'll head over now and buy tickets. :)

I think, in the long run, Derek will be better off with his role in Grease. And Jessica Rush wasn't very good in the role. Very bland emotionally.

Is it just me, or is Kevin a little too, uhm, young and hot for Defarge? I haven't read the novel in probably ten years, but this seems an incredibly young and hot Defarge couple. Plus I'm frightened by how old they seem to consider Gregg Edelman.

Whole thing very weird!

Hahaha!! I agree with you... on everything! I can't wait to see Kevin and Natalie Toro on stage together... :) How old is Dr. Manette supposed to be? Poor Gregg Edelman...

I'm interested in seeing this production, but the casting still confuses me a bit...
