So, I woke up this morning...
...and the first thing I noticed was Cooper's ears! I don't know when or how it happened, but Cooper's stubborn ear that wouldn't bend forward suddenly tips PERFECTLY! Now those who know me know that I don't train ears because I believe in the natural look and since we have NO plans to show Cooper (not that we could, because of his markings...) we never bothered to train his ears. Just surprising that after all these months, they both tip perfectly when we didn't do a thing... Hope it stays that way... :)

On a non-Cooper note, I'm pretty sad that I won't be able to get my "Kings" fix this week... :( The next episode is Saturday the 18th... and I'll be in NYC. I went back and re-watched the first episode and I'm seriously IN LOVE with the scene between Silas and Jack on the stairs... For some reason it affected me so much more than the first time I saw it. When Jack tears up - my heart seriously breaks. SO sad that they pulled this show - I love it so. :(

But, on the good news side to this whole thing, because there is no "Kings" this weekend for me to obssess about, I can actually have time to study for my CRPS (Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist) exam for work. I just realized the other day that my window ends at the end of the month and I need to take it soon! YIKES! I'll be in NY for most of the rest of the month so I have to bust my butt and study like hell now so I can take it when I get back! :P Looks like I know what my reading material will be on all the plane rides! ;P

Tomorrow Mark, Cooper, and I are heading over to the in-laws for an Easter lunch - should be nice. :) It's been a while since they've seen Cooper and will be surprised how much he's grown. :) Hope you all have a safe and wonderful Sunday - and if Easter is your thing,... Happy Easter!! If not, happy Sunday!! HUGS to you all!!

I feel your pain. CISSP is my obsession until next Saturday.

Oh, my!! All these designation exams with acronyms that begin with C! ;) But, I do feel your pain! I wish I'd been studying for as long as you have, though - you're prepared!!

There's a reason most of my Kings icons are from that scene from the pilot on the stairs. It's such a powerful scene and both Sebastian and Ian play it so so well. Poor Jack. I think he sincerely thought he had his parents fooled and was on the track to King without having to change anything about how he was living his life. He ought to have known better. Hm...watching the pilot again in lieu of the new episode we were supposed to get... Excellent idea!

Happy Sunday! Good luck studying!!

LOVED that scene!! It really sets up the third episode, in which they introduce Joseph, so well... Silas' demand that he suppress whatever God made him so that he could become king one day... How heartbreaking!! I can't get over what a great show this is... I'm terribly sad that it's not getting renewed. :(

I did not even think about it, but you're right, that scene on the steps totally sets up the scenes with Joseph in First Night. One can go back and see the wheels already turning in Jack's head as he pictures what he may need to do (let Joseph go). So sad!

And while the move to Saturday is more or less a death knell, the word cancelled hasn't been used yet (that I've heard), so I am still holding out a very slim hope. If it does get cancelled, maybe a cable station will take it... At best, though, I just want them to play the whole thing (or release it all to DVD).

I was so bummed it was not on tonight, but now only 6 days until a new episode...

Very true, no cancellation talk has been mentioned, though I think being a mid-season replacement is hard for any show. I remember loving "October Road" which was also mid-season and they never fully got to develop an audience before their cancellation and Julie Ann's show - "Line of Fire" was excellent, but also a mid-season replacement... Seems like mid-season shows never really get to develop their audience before getting pulled. :(

Never thought about the possibility of it being picked up by a cable station, though... I'd love to see it picked up by an HBO or Showtime... I really do think that they could do SO MUCH more with it - as they wouldn't be so restricted to "primetime" censorship and could really push the envelope.

Can't wait for that next episode!

Have a great Easter! Sorry that Kings is over... my partner really likes it.

Kings is a great show!! Sadly it probably won't survive since the fanbase, though pretty vocal, is still quite small. Mid season replacements always get the raw end of the deal. :(

Awwww, I'm so sorry about Kings! :( I just don't understand the networks these days... they hardly ever give shows a chance to find an audience before pulling the plug. We just started watching a new show last week that I'm already worried will be canceled soon. It's not only about the ratings, darn it! Quality over quantity! :P

And how absolutely adorable about Cooper's ears! So cute! I hope you guys have a lovely Easter with Mark's family!

I think the problem is sadly with mid-season shows like "Kings" - it seems so much harder for them to gain an audience and a following... I mentioned in my comment above that two of my other favorite shows were also mid-season shows and never really got the attention, or audience it really deserved and got cancelled much too early - "October Road" and Julie Ann's show "Line of Fire." Both were excellent shows and in the right time slot and introduced by the networks properly, could've done really well... :(

We're hoping that Cooper's ears are not a fluke and that they'll stay that way! :)
