hmmmm. Interesting...
Sheri: Chad - Memphis Lives In Meshutterbug93 on June 5th, 2010 04:44 pm (UTC)
Heehee! I'm probably far off on many of these as I let "who I want to win" cloud my "who I think will win" judgement. ;)

Hahaha thanks for the shoutout! As much as I want Bobby to win, everyone in that category is amazing and deserving. Technically I haven't seen Robin's performance, but he was fantastic in In the Heights so I'm sure he's wonderful in La Cage as well

I really hope Memphis wins best musical. It is one of my favorites and definitely my favorite of the new shows this year

And although I think I like Bryan better as Huey, I absolutely loved Chad the first two times I saw it last fall. I'd love to see him win

And Next Fall <3
Sheri: La Cage 03shutterbug93 on June 5th, 2010 04:46 pm (UTC)
That is a pretty tough category! Robin DeJesus was definitely adorable in La Cage and Christopher Fitzgerald was great in Finian's too... But yes, all of them, SO deserving!

And I'm holding out hope that there might be a possible tie for Lead Actor? I would love for Chad to win the Tony, but I also LOVED Douglas Hodge's performance!!

I feel like all of the nominees this year (in musicals -- only seen next fall so i cant conment on plays) are really deserving. And i guess i cant really say for real about la cage but i do want to see it and im sure ill like it, so i trust that it deserves everything it was nomnated for and will win

for featured actor i really want bobby but i would be happy with chris. I thought levi wqs really good but i never really saw him as a really strong contender bc of his character. It wasnt a particularly moving performance but that was more bc of the show rather than him as an actor. I hope that makes sense lol. Eiter way he gets browne points in my book bc he told me he liked my necklace hahah
Sheri: Levi 01shutterbug93 on June 5th, 2010 06:58 pm (UTC)
I agree with Levi Kreis, as the show itself didn't really give him the opportunity to showcase his depth as an actor. He sure is AN EXCELLENT musician, though!! And his comment about your necklace was adorable! :) He's extremely sweet and humble in person!!
Sarahmisswritten on June 5th, 2010 09:37 pm (UTC)
Agreed. The whole cast was immsensely talented and i would love to see any of them in a show with more plot and depth

haha he was so nice! Yay Target jewelry lol. It was actually for my Halloween costume when i was a hippie but i really like it so i wear it all the time. My sister was professing her hate for it earlier haha but i think it's cute lol

Not usually on LJ these days, but stopped in and saw your post. I hardly saw anything this year, so I shouldn't have any opinions on the Tonys, really. But how I *wish* I'd seen Liev S. He's such an interesting actor. And I will be hoping for the Memphis nominees!
Sheri: La Cage 03shutterbug93 on June 7th, 2010 06:39 am (UTC)
ROOOOOBIIIIIN!! How I've missed you around here!!! SO nice to see you here! :)

I do have to say that Liev Schreiber was FANTASTIC in "A View from the Bridge" - my Mom and I absolutely loved his performance!!

And yes, thinking good thoughts for all the MEMPHIS noms!! :)

Next time I'm in the city alone (in Sept) you must come with me to see other shows!! La Cage? It's amazing and SOOOO heartfelt! Truly one of the best new shows this season!
