Stole this from practically everyone on my friend's list. ;)
Wondering if everyone who reads this can ask me 3 questions. Ask me anything you want. I'll be honest.

Then, if you have not done so already go to your journal, copy and paste this allowing your friends (including myself) to ask you anything.

Thanks in advance to anyone who participates! :)

1. What interests you most about theatre?
2. How did you and Mark meet?
3. What is you favorite keepsake from the years?
Sheri: Nick DeGruccioshutterbug93 on April 15th, 2004 08:32 am (UTC)
Thanks for the great questions, Laura! :)

1. What interests you most about theatre?
I love this question, BTW. :) There are so many reasons I love theatre, but I'll spare everyone the long version. ;) Unlike watching a movie or TV, theatre is so special to me because the audience actually gets to share in the experiences with the people on stage. I love that connection that develops throughout the show that allows the audience to be a part of someone else's world for a few hours. There are times too that are indescribable where everything just clicks and the audience and the performers feed off of each other (as it was during the LA production of "Assassins"). There's no better feeling in the world than to be in an audience of people who "get" a show completely with a cast who clearly loves what they're doing. :) So many more reasons, but this is the short version. ;)

2. How did you and Mark meet?
Mark and I met volunteering in the Jaycees in 1996.:)

3. What is you favorite keepsake from the years?
I'd have to say that it's the cross that my Dad bought for me. I have many keepsakes from him that I cherish, but the cross is special to me because it showed me that he respected me and the choices I had made in life. :)

Thanks again for the questions, Laura! :)

1. What is your favorite shape? (I like this question. hehe)
2. If you could be anything, what would it be?
3. What are your favorite baby names?
Sheri: Sydney - happyshutterbug93 on April 15th, 2004 08:40 am (UTC)
Cute questions, Jen! :)

1. What is your favorite shape? (I like this question. hehe)
I like this question too! :) I think I'd have to say - if we're going on non-conventional shapes as well,... it would probably be a heart. :) I'm kinda sappy that way. ;)

2. If you could be anything, what would it be?
A web designer for theater performers. Of course I'd need MUCH more training and a lot more design knowledge, but I'd love to do something like that - or a Broadway event photographer. :D Is there some job where they'd pay me just to fly around and enjoy great shows? Sort of like a critic, but without everyone hating me. ;) That would be my dream job. :)

3. What are your favorite baby names?
I love the name Tyler for boys and Adair for a girl. :)

Thanks for these questions, Jen! :)

Where did you spend your honeymoon?
How many musical/cast recordings do you have?
What made you start getting into musicals?
Sheri: Side Showshutterbug93 on April 15th, 2004 08:49 am (UTC)
Thanks Rayna! These are great! :)

Where did you spend your honeymoon?
Mark and I went to California for our honeymoon - we drove up and down the state, visiting places as far north as San Fransisco and as far south as San Diego. :) While we were there we caught the national tour of "Miss Saigon" - which just so happened was playing in SF at the time. Yes, we even saw shows on our honeymoon... we're dorks ;)

How many musical/cast recordings do you have?
Wow - I've never really counted, but it must be a bunch. I don't think I have as many as some people, but over the years that I've loved theatre, my collection has grown. :) One day I'll really have to count. :)

What made you start getting into musicals?
My parents always to me to see shows at HCT (remember them?) The first show they took me to was "A Chorus Line" when I was 13. I remember leaving the show so enthralled by the whole experience that I couldn't stop talking about it. That was the musical for me that started it all. ;)

Thanks again for your questions, Rayna! I loved them! :)

Haha! Your questions are - by far - the most hilarious! :D

1. Is ev'ly one lealy a ritter bit lacist?
"It's sad but true!" :D

2. Should Rod date Bert (as in Bert and Ernie)?
They'd make such a cute couple! ;) I'm not too sure if two puppets who are THAT anal would do so well living together though. ;) They may not make it past their first anniversary. ;)

3. You can only see one show...what is it and who is in the cast?
Only one?? Ahhh! I love so many shows to death so it's really hard to pick just one. But I'd have to say - "1776": with a total dream cast of Kevin Earley (who knew this was coming) as Rutledge, Christopher Sieber as Jefferson, Kim Huber as Abigail, Julie Dixon Jackson as Martha, David Burnham (who was John Hinkley in "Assassins" in LA) as the courier, Nick DeGruccio as Judge Wilson, and Harry Groener as John Adams! That's my perfect show! :)

I love randomness, don't you?
Hey, that's 4 questions. ;) Thanks so much for your questions, Lani! :) They were hilarious! :)

3 Questions:

1. What is the most exciting thing about living in Hawaii?
2. What brought about your love for dogs (shelties)?
3. What pursuaded you to create a livejournal?

Hahaha! I haven't had time to think out decent questions to ask, so yeah, these are rather boring, Heh! :)

Musical Baby.
Sheri: Sydney - puppyshutterbug93 on April 15th, 2004 09:17 am (UTC)
Thanks so much for your questions! They're great! :)

1. What is the most exciting thing about living in Hawaii?
The most exciting thing is probably the rich cultural heritage of the people here. The mix of different cultures is what I think makes our islands so special. The fact that we celebrate Chinese New Year, Obon, Christmas, etc as one big family - no matter what our ethnicity. :) Plus I love hearing about the old plantation days. :) Our families all came to work on the plantation and the rich cultural history associated with that is pretty exciting to learn about. :)

2. What brought about your love for dogs (shelties)?
This is a good question because I had always grown up with cats as pets. :) My cousin used to breed Shelties and she one day she brought her puppies over to my auntie's house and one of them fell asleep on my foot. :) It was the beginning of my love affair with dogs and Shelties in particular.

3. What pursuaded you to create a livejournal?
I used to lurk around here for a while and read several journals of some theatre people I was familiar with online. One day I just decided to take the plunge and start one myself. I'm glad I did, though I've met so many wonderful people through LJ (you included!:))

Thanks again for your great questions! :) They weren't boring at all!

1. Did you kiss on the first date with your husband?
2. What is your favorite cereal?
3. If you could be known for one thing after you die, what do you want to be known for?
Sheri: Stephanie & Kate Monstershutterbug93 on April 15th, 2004 09:26 am (UTC)
Haha! Thanks Andrea, these are great questions! :)

1. Did you kiss on the first date with your husband?
Our first date was really ambiguous and I'm never really certain if it was a date or we were just hanging out. :) We were friends for a while before we got together and the line between when we stopped "hanging out" and when we started dating wasn't too clear. :) So I guess the answer to your question is no. ;)

2. What is your favorite cereal?
I'm a sugar-holic so I like frosted flakes (and no I'm not ashamed to admit it!) ;) I eat all my cereal dry (no milk) so I like the ones that can stand on it's own. ;)

3. If you could be known for one thing after you die, what do you want to be known for?
Having been a good friend. I would feel blessed if people regarded me as good a friend to them as they all have been to me. :)

Thanks so much for these questions! :) I loved them! :)
ajayne on April 15th, 2004 04:43 pm (UTC)
Loved your answers... Joe and I did kiss on the first date. It was so cute, he asked if he could kiss me... hee hee! He was so nervous and it was very cute.

1.) What would you do for a klondike bar?

2.) Why did the chicken cross the road?

3.) What is your favorite song? Why?
Sheri: Side Showshutterbug93 on April 15th, 2004 11:48 pm (UTC)
1.) What would you do for a klondike bar?
Mmmm... love those! :) Probably anything.... within reason, of course! :)

2.) Why did the chicken cross the road?
Hmmm... I've always wondered about this too.

3.) What is your favorite song? Why?
Right now I have two favorite songs - "Who Will Love Me As I Am?" from Side Show and "Colors of Paradise" from Spitfire Grill. :)

I adore "Who Will Love Me As I Am?" because I can really relate to it. It's a song about looking for someone who can see beyond your "surface" and love you for who you are. :) It's also about the insecurity we all feel about ourselves and the strong need to overcome it. Plus Side Show is one of my favorite musicals of all times - I always cry when I hear that song!

"Colors of Paradise" is just such a touching song! It's about finding that you finally belong somewhere, it's about the friendship between two people - it's about finding that a place you didn't want to be in has now become a place you couldn't bear to leave. I get goosebumps every time I hear this song. It's just so uplifting! :)

What is your fav quote?

If there was a song written about you, what would it be called?

What is the origin of your LJ name?
Sheri: Kevin - as Trevor Graydonshutterbug93 on April 15th, 2004 11:55 pm (UTC)
Thanks for the great questions, Heather! :)

What is your fav quote?
"The only intolerance you should have is against intolerance itself." - W. Eugene Smith (probably one of my favorite photographers) :)

If there was a song written about you, what would it be called?
"Waiting for Act 2"... Maybe that'll be the title of my autobiography instead. ;)

What is the origin of your LJ name?
Shutterbug because I love taking photos (I even have a degree in it, if you can believe that!) ;) and 93 for the year I graduated college with said degree. ;)

Great questions! :) Thanks for asking them! :)

1. If you could see any other show as many times as you've seen "Millie" what would it be?

2. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation and do anything you wanted, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?

3. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Sheri: Stephanie & Kate Monstershutterbug93 on April 16th, 2004 12:01 am (UTC)
Thanks for the questions, Lauren!! :)

1. If you could see any other show as many times as you've seen "Millie" what would it be?
Haha! :D I love this question! :) It would probably have to be "1776" since it's probably my favorite musical right now. :) (BTW, I've seen "1776" five times so I'm really not too far behind!) ;)

2. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation and do anything you wanted, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I'll probably shock everyone with this answer, but I'm NOT going to say NYC. ;) If it was an all expense paid trip, I'd love to go to Japan! :) Mark's never been there and it's been 16 or so years since I've gone and I really enjoy seeing the culture out there. :)

3. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
After I went through that gymnast phase, I really wanted to be a photojournalist. I LOVE taking photos, but the type of photography that I love best is photojournalist photography. There's something very special and exciting about capturing a moment in time and being able to tell an entire story with one photo that I love. :)

Thanks for your great questions, Lauren! :)

1. Who was your first crush?
2. If you could live anywhere, with any lifestyle, what would it be?
3. What's the memory that stands out the most from your childhood?
Sheri: Sydney - happyshutterbug93 on April 16th, 2004 12:09 am (UTC)
Yay! :) Thanks Rachel! :)

1. Who was your first crush?
I can't believe I actually remember this, but it was a boy named Carlton in my third grade class. He was the funniest guy in my third grade class (hence my attraction in later years to guys with a great sense of humor).

2. If you could live anywhere, with any lifestyle, what would it be?
I kind of like living in Hawaii (as much as I complain about being so far away from great theatre.) :) It's very laid back and has the sort of lifestyle that I'm used to. I don't think I'd give up living here for all the musicals in the world! (Wait - maybe that's a little harsh...) ;)

3. What's the memory that stands out the most from your childhood?
Spending my entire 12th summer with my grandparents on the Big Island. Not only was it the first time I spent such a long period of time away from my parents, but it was the summer that I learned to take risks and really try new things and opened myself up to new experiences. :)

Thanks again for these questions, Rachel! They were terrific! :)

everyone seem to have covered all the bases! he he.. lets see..

1. If they made a movie about you, who would play you in the movie?

2. If there was one thing you had to pick to eat for the next six months what would it be?

3. where do you go to get away from all the daily stress?
Sheri: Kevin - as Trevor Graydonshutterbug93 on April 16th, 2004 12:15 am (UTC)
Thanks for your questions, Smitha!! :)

1. If they made a movie about you, who would play you in the movie?
I don't think there's anyone short enough to play me. ;)

2. If there was one thing you had to pick to eat for the next six months what would it be?
misoyaki butterfish. :) YUM!

3. where do you go to get away from all the daily stress?
New York City - or more specifically - inside the Marquis Theatre. ;) But I'm guessing that you probably wanted a more practical answer to this, huh? ;)

Thanks again Smitha! *HUGS*
Smithasmittenbyu on April 16th, 2004 06:15 am (UTC)
when it's to deal with stress there's no such thing as practicality! :) You do what you got to do to relieve it! well, as long as it doesn't hurt you or others! :)
