Yucky sleep schedule and some theatre YAYs! :)
First of all, thank you to everyone who posted a comment in my last entry...

I didn't really sleep too well last night - I kept waking up every few hours - which was very annoying. :P I ended up giving up at about 2am and just stayed up and read. The problem was when I finally got tired and felt like I could sleep, it was already 4:30am and I needed to get up and get ready for work. :P

It's a good thing today was a calm day in the office. Our BIG boss was out the entire day and the other bosses were out for various meetings, appointments - so it was basically all of us "pions" left there today. :) Sometimes that's fun too - and that's when we find out a lot about what's going on. ;)

The next big thing at work is planning our annual "Tax-Busters" party - in which all the branch personnel who gave our reps referrals during tax season could qualify to attend a HUGE party at Ihilani Resort (which our department is throwing) in May. Each of the qualifiers get an all expense paid suite at the Ihilani Resort too - which normally runs a few hundred dollars. :P It's a pretty big event - last year over 200 people qualified and attended. This is the first year I'll be involved in the planning side of things - when I was in the field all I needed to do was just show up with our branch qualifiers, so it should be a lot of fun this year. And it's become sort of a "Yay the tax season is over" party for the back office! :)

Speaking of celebrations - Woo hoo! Congratulations to Kevin and the cast of "Millie" for placing 3rd in the Easter Bonnet Competition last night! :) YAY! :) I'm so happy since I knew how hard Kevin worked on putting their skit together this year (he headed up this year's Easter Bonnet show for Millie). :) Yay Kevin! :)

And more good news, "Millie" is hanging in there with their numbers this week. :) They were down to an attendance percentage of 79.7%, but attendance at every show was a little down this week. It was really good considering that it out-grossed a few shows and was closer to the middle of the list this week. :) Go "Millie!" Hopefully they can keep up the numbers through the summer! :)

Tax Busters is really a lot of fun and this year it's even nicer because they're providing each qualifier for their own room at the resort for the evening. :)

Kevin was WONDERFUL!!! He and Emily Rozek played the guitar to accompany some of their cast mates and their song was just GORGEOUS. They really worked hard on it and deserved it!!! He sang as well as played guitar.. he's so talented!! I think it's going on BroadwayBeat.com - you have to see it!

AHHH! That's right, you were there! :D Thank you so much for telling me about it! I would've loved to have seen it - I only saw him play his guitar (in a real performance) once. :) I'm so glad that you got to go! Lucky you! :)

Thanks SO MUCH Lauren, as always, for being my eyes and ears in NYC! :)

A calm day in the office sounds good to me - at least, sometimes. :) Up to now, I never visited such a great event like the "Tax-Busters" party (I think I even had to buy clothes should I ever visit such an event :D ) but it sounds interesting. I hope you will have fun. :) *Hugs*

Ohhh! Clothes shopping, great idea! ;) Haven't thought about what I'd wear yet. :) The party is always just a great time to relax and enjoy the company of everyone outside of the work environment. :) It's really nice of our company to sponsor it for everyone each year. :)

*HUGS* to you and Lauser - hope you are both having a nice day. :)

Kinda makes me glad that I postponed NYC in a way (it was supposed to be the same weekend). At least I won't be sitting at home by myself wishing I was in NYC that weekend. :)
