Still pretty depressed...
...about the whole "Millie" thing, but I decided to take a more positive view on it. :) Thanks so much for your comments in my last post. :) I'm always sad when any show closes, but this one was especially close to my heart. :( It was just such a special show and I'm SO glad that I got the chance to see two different, wonderful actresses in the role of "Millie" - AND see Sutton's last performance - that's something I think I'll always treasure. :) I just wish it didn't have to put so many wonderful people out of work. :(

In non-Millie related news, my bosses have plans to send me up to Vacaville, CA to visit our home office and get some training soon. I'm not too sure when they plan to send me up, but they talked to me about it today. :) I googled the area and found one theatre nearby that won't be showing anything remotely theatrical in the time that I'll probably be there - Drat! Always nice to try to catch some good theatre after hours while I'm away - even on business. ;) My boss was also talking about a possible trip to the East Coast for NASD training in the fall - woo hoo! I love my job! :)

And in happier news - Found some information on the "Line of Fire's" finale. mslauren2930 was right, the first half of the episode deals with Julie's character. :) This is all SO great and at this point it's gravy - I think that I've already dealt with the possible cancellation of the show back in January so now that we're getting to see those last 2 episodes, it just seems like a gift. :) The series can end if it has to, it was a good show and it gave Julie a lot of exposure and in the end, I only want the best for her. :)

That being said, if anyone isn't doing anything on May 30th, and wants to see some GREAT talent (i.e. Julie Ann), please tune in to ABC. - This concludes my "Line of Fire" PSA. ;)

Hope you all have a nice evening!

Vacaville? Do you know how close you would be to my house if you went to Vacaville??? Hmmm. I will be theatrical for you. Hee hee hee! Of course, if you wanted me to. :)

Actually, Vacaville is the half way point between my house and my sister's in Sacramento. It's about 50 miles from here.

Wow! You live close to Vacaville?? That's SO funny! Maybe we could meet up for dinner or something one night when I'm up there. :) I had no idea where it was before doing my google search - I'm not too bad with Southern California places, but I'm totally lost in Northern CA! ;) Let me know if you want to meet up or something ;) If not, that's okay too since 50 miles is a bit far (for a Hawaii person like me, anyway) :)

We can meet up, definitely. When are you going to be in the area? It isn't a bad drive, all freeway. Takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get there.

That's great that Julie's character is going to be promeniently featured. Maybe she will get picked up for another show that will really take off.

Thanks, Amanda! :) I hope she will, too! :) She'll be in the new Will Smith movie - coming out next year - but it would be SO nice for her to have a steady job (or as steady as one could be in the entertainment industry...) :)

BTW, I'm loving your cute, shorter hairstyle nowadays!! :) I've always wanted to try a shorter hairstyle (especially in our hot weather here), but I just don't match with short hair. :P

Thanks! I cut my hair off so that my bangs could play catch up!

You're right. Nothing is there. ;-) Not even the Nut Tree anymore.

Very sad for me since I'll probably be there a week. :( Anything remotely close by of interest?

Hmmm. I hope this helps you out. :-) I don't really know since I very rarely go to that area, unless I'm visiting a friend who happens to have just moved from there. ;-)

Thanks for the link! Hopefully I can find something interesting to do there. :)

A few years ago, they had a Ren Faire there, in the old Nut Tree parking lot, but it was awful and dusty. When I got home, I was blowing my nose for 10 minutes. ;-) My friend shawk is a total Rennie and said that was the worst venue she'd ever been to!

Too bad the Nut Tree isn't around anymore. That place is hard to describe. Part amusement park, part restaurant, part toy store, part gardening center... And the sign was so bright it would wake me up if we passed it on the freeway!

I haven't been to Vacaville in a LOOOOOOOOONG time. Last time I was there I played softball. There wasn't much to do there when I went. :/

I'm hoping that I can find a small theatre nearby or something within a short driving distance. ;)
