I was supposed to be in NYC tonight...
...part of me is still very sad that I'm not there this weekend since practically everyone I know is there right now (probably having a HUGE party because Chad won the Emmy!) but part of me is kind of glad since I'll be able to see "Millie" during closing weekend AND see Jessica Grové as Miss Dorothy and Harriet Harris as Mrs. Meers! :) It's going to be fantastic! :)

Tomorrow night Mark & I are staying over at the Ihilani Resort for the big Taxbusters party that my workplace is throwing. It'll be fun to see all the Reps and hang out with my workmates away from work. This year since I work in the back office, I'll be working most of the night (taking pictures and working the games), but it should be fun anyway. :) Sydney must know that something's coming up. Whenever we give her a bath and start to take down our travel bags, she starts to suspect that something's up. ;) She'll have a great time at my in-law's house though - they spoil her rotten. :)

And I can't end this without saying a huge YAY to Chad Brannon for winning the Emmy award tonight! :) It's been years since I've seen him (the last time was in NYC in November 2001) or watched him on TV, but he'll always have a special place in my heart. :) Not only for all of his kindness throughout his first several years on GH, but because he was the one who introduced me to Kevin (and through Kevin, I met Julie Ann) - and if it hadn't been for Chad, I would've missed out on the chance to get to know two VERY special people. So yay for Chad and his Emmy! :)

I'm off to pack for my overnight stay. :) The nicest thing about the stay is that the room we're in will be air-conditioned and I can get out of this sauna I've been in for the past few days! Whew!

Have a nice evening, everyone! :)

Air conditioning, SWEET!!! :)

YAY for Chad. :D I was upset that Eden Riegel didn't win though. :(

Woo hoo for air conditioning!! :D

I was so happy for Chad! And I missed the younger actress category for some reason - I'm sorry Eden didn't win. I've always liked her.

I could not live with air conditioning and I only live in Indiana! :) We didn't have it until I was about 12, though.

Mark and I really need to look into getting an AC - it's just too humid here all the time. It actually makes me look forward to going into work - that can't be right. ;)

One of my apartments in Arizona wasn't equipped with air conditioning. It was dreadful in the summer. And at my dad's house, he had it, but never turned it on. Grrr! Glad you will be able to enjoy air conditioned bliss!

Congrats to Chad and his emmy!! Awesome!

No AC in Arizona would be awful! :( And each year Mark & I talk about getting one and each year we spend our money on other things... I think this summer might force us to buy one - it's just too humid this year! :P

And yay for Chad! :) It was a nice ending to his great run on GH. :)

Oh, you definitely should get AC this summer. Well worth the money, I am sure. (Then you'll wonder how you lived without it for so long.)

Up to now, I lived without air-conditioning. Still, at some days in summer I wish I would have got an air-conditioning, esp. in the bedroom. But right now I could send you some cold air, perhaps, that would change your weather a little. :)

Wish you both fun at the Taxbusters party even if you have to work. :) *Hugs*

In all the years I've lived in Hawaii, I've never owned an AC either. :P And woo hoo if you could send some of your cold air our way! Heehee! :D I'd gladly make the trade. ;)

Thanks, Sabine. :) I hope you're having a nice weekend. *HUGS*

oh enjoy your time! especially with your hubby! :) Take pictures out there and so to allow us to live precariously through you! :)

Thanks Smitha! It'll be fun to get away with Mark for a bit. :) It's a shame he can't attend the Taxbusters party. :( But I will be taking a lot of pictures this weekend. :) Take care! :)

I'm sorry you weren't able to make it to NYC. I know that Amanda and I always have a great time whenever we get the opportunity escape for a night away from home (although we haven't had one in quite some time).

On an unrelated note, I've been very busy working insanely long hours, so I haven't been able to relax (including staying up to date on LJ) very much lately. The other day I went to play some PS2 for the first time in several weeks, and I find to my dismay that my memory card was erased! Now I'm seriously contemplating on selling the entire thing since I lost everything and I really don't have time for it anyhow.

Your memory card got erased?? How horrible! Mark would be able to totally sympathize with you there since it frustrates him to no end when he makes it through a difficult part of the game and doesn't save it before he "dies". :( Are you really thinking of selling it?

I hope you have a nice time tonight!

I am glad Chad won, but I agree with Care. I'm so upset that Eden didn't win!

Thanks Laura! :) We had a nice weekend, I hope that your weekend was enjoyable too!

I'm sorry about Eden not winning. :( I've always liked her and I thought she had a great year.
