Infomercials, and *SIGH*-worthy broadway men... ;)
This weekend while Mark & I were staying at Ihilani, I somehow managed to watch more TV than I probably have in the last few years combined. :P On Sunday morning before Mark got up, I was flipping through the channels when I got sucked into an infomercial. I usually despise them, but for some reason, I couldn't stop watching it... When the half hour was over, I did something I've never done before (and I vow I'll never do again)... I actually called to order the product! :P

As you can probably tell, I'm refraining from mentioning exactly which product this was - but I have to say that it was a moment of weakness on my part. I've often sat at home and seen glimpses of infomercials on TV and wondered who the heck would buy these products? Well, I guess I know now. :P People like me - apparently. Whether they're even a legit company remains to be seen - I'm keeping a close eye on my AmEx statement just in case.

And I've been in Broadway heaven today - I just received my Easter Bonnet DVD in the mail and got to see Kevin perform at the Easter Bonnet competition. *SIGH* It was the next best thing to actually being there... (Okay, so it doesn't really compare, but at least I got to hear him play the guitar and sing) :) I also LOVED watching Christopher Sieber (BIG *SIGH*) and Rod (the Avenue Q puppet) make out on stage - it was just hilarious! :D

As a side note, I'm still very sad that I never got to see Mr. Sieber as Bobby in "Company" in LA. :( I've seen him on stage twice now, in "Millie" and "Into the Woods" and there's just something extremely attractive about him... I just can't put my finger on just what it is... but whatever it is - women, men, puppets, I don't care - they're all attracted to the man! ;)

Have a nice evening, everyone! :)

I ordered from an infomercial once... and I love the product I got, however I STILL get phone calls from them wanting to sell me more things. This was 3 years ago now.

So... what did you buy? :)

Yikes! I hope they don't keep calling my cell phone to solicit stuff... :P

And I bought...well, maybe I'll write about it later after it arrives - I'm just kind of embarrassed that I called to buy it in the first place. :P

I actually bought twice... once was the "Gator Grip" for one of Joe's Christmas presents... like, 4 years ago. THEY keep calling me. Then a year or so ago I bought kitchen knives.... I LOVE the knives. They are awesome! They haven't harrassed me to buy more... but they did charge my credit card MORE than the price advertised. So watch your statement.

There are several of us who have broken down and bought things... and I bought twice. Now, I will just go to the Mall... As Seen On TV store.

I also bought the Showtime Rotisserie... and that is awesome. But I bought it from Bed Bath and Beyond, not on the TV.

So..what did you buy?? (Nothing could be that embarrassing, unless you bought "Bloussant" or one of those sexual enhancement pills.) Hee hee!

Bahaha! No, it was nothing like that! :D

Well then..... nothing to be ashamed of, now, is there. :)

Oh come on, you've got to tell us what it was!!!

Tom and I bought the Steam Shark Cleaner from an infomercial about two years ago. Other than that, my Mom works at Walgreens and they have "As Seen on TV" stuff all of the time and she just picks us up what we want. :)

Ah! What did I start? ;) Now everyone wants to know... maybe I shouldn't have pointed out the fact that I didn't mention what I had bought! ;)

And I've seen an "As Seen on TV" store in our mall. :) I know one of my friends buys everything she sees in infomercials... This is my first (and last) time I'll buy anything. :P

The infomercial...Those bastards!!! LOL :P You don't need to feel bad about it though. What was it???? Come on, you can tell us. ;)

The whole time I was on the phone, the salesperson was trying to sell me more things... It got really annoying. Which reminds me that when I called Ticketmaster recently for my Millie tickets they wanted me to buy all sorts of other random concert tickets -- I thought, Hello - I don't even live in NYC, that's pretty apparent by my billing address. :(

BTW, I think your new icon is my favorite that I've seen. :) Photographically, it's the best I've seen in a long time. :)

I have wanted to buy things from infomercials. :) But, by the time I get the nerve the number is gone.

I'm usually like that too... I don't know if it was the boredom that morning or that I really wanted the product, but I actually called to order it!

I bought something from an infomercial once. My roommate & I did. But I forget now what it was! Goes to show how much I used it *sigh*

What was it? You got me curious! :)

Wow... just wow!

:D Was that wow for Chris Sieber? If it was, I totally agree - he's an extremely "wow" kind of guy! ;)
