First off, I realized what the true spirit of Christmas was in reading a comment, oddly enough, on this LJ site. A fellow community member wrote about the loss of her pet in her LJ, but was still big hearted enough to wish others a Merry Christmas in other forums. Had I not read her LJ, I never would've known how sad she really was. I haven't been around LJ long enough to know what's cool and what's not, so I won't mention her name, but her comments made me realize that Christmas is more than just traffic and long lines at the mall.
I also received some of the nicest mail (snail mail and email) - from friends who I miss dearly and received a visit at work today by a former college roommate who was my maid of honor at my wedding. :) On top of all of that, two of my friends told me they'd like to see Kevin in his next show in Palm Springs with me... All WONDERFUL things that made me realize that the holidays really aren't so bad - and so the traffic is a little worse, and the lines at post office and mall are a mile long - I say, bring it on! :)
