I was actually productive today! :)
Which was a big change from last night! I was talking to Mark on the couch and the next thing I knew, it was 9pm and he was asking me if I wanted to do the exercise video. I mumbled something incoherent to him (which, loosely translated in my mind meant "Let me sleep!") and turned over and went back to sleep. :P I didn't get up until 6am this morning! What a slug I am, I can't believe I slept for 12 hours straight! :P I don't think I've done that since college. :P

Thankfully today I was actually able to get a little bit of motivation and actually get something web related done. :) I finally uploaded the screen caps for the last episode of "Line of Fire" for Julie Ann's site. :) In working on the photos, I found one that I REALLY liked:

Look at those eyes! What a great photo of Julie!

Working on the screen caps made me a little sad that the show is gone and reminded me of the conversation I had with her at Millie's closing night. She told me that she was very proud of the work she did on the show and really, that's all she could ask for. Wah! I miss "Line of Fire!" :(

Speaking of quality TV (and lack thereof...) Mark's downstairs right now watching watching something on SpikeTV. :P I swear, he can sit there the whole weekend and watch James Bond movies that he's seen at least a dozen times, or "Conan the Destroyer" for the hundredth time. :P I really can only tolerate so much of SpikeTV before I have to go back upstairs. :P

And I've been on a quest to take more photos of Sydney. The only problem is that everytime she hears the sound of my digital camera turning on, she'll run to get her toys. I guess in the past I used to pose her using her toys to get her attention. Now I think she associates the camera with playtime! :D

Speaking of digital cameras, what do you recommend Sheri? My sister is looking to buy one. I think she mentioned either a Nikon Coolpix 3100 or a Cannon Power Shoot A80?

What camera are you using?

Right now I'm using the Sony Cybershot DSC-P52 that Mark got me for my birthday last year and the Fuji S5000 that I bought for the recent NYC trip. The photos from the Fuji are wonderful - but there are several disadvantages to the camera. It's only 3.2 megapixels, and the recycle time is very long. :P It eats up a lot of batteries, but the photo quality seems pretty nice. But it's reasonable and for the price, takes great photos!

Here's an example of a photo taken with the Fuji:

I like the way it renders skin tones. :)

I don't know too much about the cameras you mentioned. I just recently got into digital photography (yes, I was a film purist) :P

A couple of my friends have the Nikon Coolpix 3100 and seem to like it. We use a Canon G3 at work which is a nice camera, but has caused us some problems recently. It might be worthwhile checking dpreview.com and if there's any known glitches in those cameras they should have popped up in the forums by now.

Had to laugh at the idea of Sydney associating the camera with playtime - I bet she knows it works as well and you're bound to play with her:-) Hope you get some good pics of her.

Sydney knows I'm a softie and will play with her. ;) And I've been trying to take non-standard photos recently of her. I have a bunch of her where she's looking at me with a nice expression, my quest this weekend was to take different character shots of her. I have a few that I'm not entirely too happy with so poor Sydney will have to endure my camera again this afternoon. :)

OOooh! Thanks for sharing, my friend just bought a Cannon Powershot a75 or a70, I'm not too sure. She'll probably get it next week.

I was productive yesterday and today as well. Yesterday I went outfit shopping with my mom and sister, for my grandpa's funeral services. Today I did ALL the laundry, and cleaned the kitchen. What fun! It does feel good afterward to know you actually did something though. LOL. Have a nice Sunday.

Wow - you were really productive! I just updated a website, but you did lots of hard work. I think you did more than I did all week. :) Tomorrow is my housecleaning day so hopefully I'll get half the things you got done today! :)

I think it's great that you slept for 12 hours! It doesn't happen often, but sometimes your body just tells itself that it needs the extra catch-up sleep. If you hadn't slept that long, there's a good chance you would have become sick as your immune system became worn down.

Just for the record, I always preferred Conan the Barbarian over Conan the Destroyer! LOL

I don't think I've slept that much since college :P - but I must've needed it. :) Mark was really shocked though because usually I only need less than six hours of sleep a night. :P

And you and Mark must've been separated at birth! :D I know the two of you would get along so well! :)

Sleeping for 12 hours sounds nice right now. :)

Sydney is just the cutest thing. :D

Oh have you been able to catch up on your sleep? :( I know you haven't been sleeping too well lately. :(

Haha! Sydney hates taking photos... hopefully I'll be able to get her in a few tomorrow. :)

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! You just described Fredster!!

Haha! It must be a man thing! :P At least Mark's gotten away from watching "Forensic Files" during dinner. :D

Joe and Spike TV... ha ha! Sounds like Mark!
Sheri: Sherishutterbug93 on July 25th, 2004 05:14 pm (UTC)
Joe likes SpikeTV too? :) They're so similar it's scary! ;) Mark also loves watching "Beverly Hills Cop" and "Dumb & Dumber" - he can watch those shows every weekend and not get tired of them. :P
ajayne on July 25th, 2004 05:30 pm (UTC)
Ugh... those movies.. yeah, Joe is loving those movies!!!

"James Bond movies" - Monika loves them. It really happened very often that, when I called her on Saturday or Sunday evening, she said that she just would watch James Bond. :)

What you told about Sydney and taking photos made me smile. :) I would love to see some more photos of her.

Hope you had a nice Sunday. *Hugs*

I have to admit that once in a while I'll enjoy watching the occasional Bnd movie, but Mark watches them over and over again, every weekend. :)

And I took a few photos of Sydney this morning and yesterday, but not really happy with any of them. :( I'm trying to take more this afternoon. :)

Hope you had a nice weekend, Sabine! *HUGS*
