We went to Chai's Island Bistro in the Aloha Tower Marketplace to celebrate his birthday. :) The food there was delicious and Mark was even brave enough to try the frog legs! :P I have to say that I'm pretty daring when it comes to exotic cuisine, but I couldn't bring myself to try it. :P He said it was like eating a strange mix of chicken and fish. In fact, he enjoyed it so much that he wants to go back so he can order it again. :P The whole time he was eating it I kept thinking about those poor frogs in the eighth grade that we had to dissect. :P Blech...
Mark enjoyed the gifts I got him and enjoyed playing my version of "Who Wants to Be A Broadway Millionaire" in order to win his gifts. :) His main gift was really the airfare to NYC this past June, but I still wanted to get him little gifts and have him play silly games in order to win them. :) I have to say, his knowledge of Broadway has improved greatly in the last year. :)
Speaking of theatre (and when don't I?) :P, Lauren Kennedy was reported to have joined the cast of "Ten Commandments" with Kevin. :) This is going to be the second time I'll see her onstage - I saw her in LM when Pat & I went to NYC a couple of years ago.
And I still have not gotten my "Assassins" cast recording in the mail. :( I know that I shouldn't complain because it takes everything MUCH longer to get to us here (do they paddle it in by canoe? :P) but I keep reading about everyone else getting theirs and I'm getting a little antsy. :)
Okay, I'm off to take a shower and crawl into bed - it's been a long day.
