The scrapbooks are almost done! :) Thank you all for the nice wishes and the words of encouragement on them, I think I will be able to get them all done on time. :)

Sydney just loves to bother me when I'm working on them, though. :) The funniest thing is that every once in a while I'd find little nose prints on pieces of my scrapbook paper. :) Every time I'd look over at Sydney she'd look at me innocently as if to say, "I didn't do it!" Well, today - I found a wet nose print on a piece of scrap paper and I turned to look at her and she had the same innocent look on her face,... except she had a tiny piece of the scrap paper stuck to her nose. :D Aha! Poor doggie was caught in the act! ;)

Tomorrow Mark & I start week 5 of our diet / work out plan. :) I was SO excited today that I actually was able to fit comfortably in a size 7! I haven't been able to wear my size 7 clothes in years! :P And to think just 5 weeks ago, I was wearing clothes that were two sizes larger... :P I can't believe how drastically our lives have changed - I haven't craved junk food in such a long time! Even Mark commented that he needs to buy new jeans because his are way too loose now! :)

For some reason I'm SO un-enthused about going back to work tomorrow. I know that I've been gone for a week and I really do love my job, but somehow the thought that my next vacation won't be for another three months or so is feeling a little mind-numbing. And while I was gone we had a new worker start in our office. I always seem to be away on vacation whenever the new hires start. :P

And finally, I think I may have misplaced one of my mini-discs. :( I looked in all the normal places it would be, but it's not there. :P I'm going to have to go through everything on my desk again and in my car and if I don't find it - I think I know where I might've left it. :P I'm hoping I didn't, but it's possible that I left it in the seat pocket of one of the planes I road - or worse, one of the hotels... :( But, I'm not going to panic yet (because there are SO many things in this room - it could be anywhere) - at least until after I've cleaned everything out. :P

Sydney is so cute and so funny. :D

It must feel great to fit into clothes you hadn't been able to for a while. That's awesome Sheri!!! I'm proud of you. :) Not like it matters if I am or not. I just thought I'd let you know. :)

Sydney's SUCH a character! ;)

And AWWW! Thanks Carrie! That's so sweet of you to say! :) And thanks so much for all of the enocuragement here - it hasn't been an easy 5 weeeks, but it's sure been worth it. :) How's everything going with your workout plan? :)
Carecareleswhisper on August 9th, 2004 11:00 am (UTC)
It's going much slower than yours, that's for sure. I'll get there though. :) Thanks for asking. :)

Mortie is always nosing around when I am working on something! He will come and put his head in my lap, like he is saying "Hey pet me!" If I don't pet him, he
will keep on dropping his head in my lap harder and harder. I know what you mean about those "innocent dog
looks" It is amazing how much personality our pets can have! A SIZE 7!!!! WOW! I can only hope and dream of such things! I am a 10 or 12 now. I really need to get going on an exercize thing too! Hearing your results are
starting to motivate me!

Mortie is adorable and I could totally see him do that! :) Sydney has this thing too where if I'm watching TV and she wants me to play with her she'll drop he toy in front of me and start pawing at me until I give her attention. :) Dogs, gotta love them! :)

And thanks so much! This plan is certainly not the easiest, but it certainly is worth it! :)

So I'm curious now: what is this diet and exercies program? How complex and how drastic is it? It's so wonderful that you've stuck with it and it's obviously working well for you. Yay!!!
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on August 9th, 2004 10:06 am (UTC)
It's a combination of counting calories (and not eating "empty" calories) and a series of workout videos called "Slim In 6". What I love about it is that it's a sensible diet and work out approach - by NO MEANS easy, but very worth it. I've had weight problems most of my adult life and I almost cried when I fit into my old clothes yesterday. Nothing else I'd tried has worked, but this has been great! :)

Congrats on your new size! :) You are doing such a wonderful job!

Thanks so much! I almost cried yesterday! I have to say that this whole thing has been FAR from easy for us, but it's been SO worth it! :)

Way to go on fitting into old clothes! Five weeks is a long time, so be proud you have hung in there this long. I am coming up on a week, and I can feel a change in my energy level. :)

Thanks so much, Laura! :) And congratulations to you on finishing your first week! It's the hardest week there is and if you've gotten through it, you can get through anything!

Awww, thanks Kristen! I used to always start exercise plans and then quit mid way through - I can't believe I stayed with this one for so long - I think that Mark doing this with me is a HUGE help. :) And the five weeks seemed to have flown right by! :) Thanks so much for all of your support! :)

Thanks for telling about "Sydney caught in the act" - that really made me smile and I can imagine it very well. :)

Congratulation to size 7, I'm happy with you.

Hope you will find back your mini-disc.

Please, take care Sheri. *Hugs*

Sydney always tries to act innocent, although we all know that she's far from it. ;)

Thanks for all your encouragement over the past few weeks, Sabine! :) Hopefully, I can continue this healthier lifestyle - it's definitely made me feel much more energetic lately. :)

And I haven't found my mini-disc yet. :( What makes me sad is that it's one of a kind. :(

Hope you're having a nice week, Sabine! Big *HUGS* to you and Lauser! :)

Congratulations on the weight loss! You should be a spokesperson for them - I cannot believe that it worked so quickly.

Sydney is so adorable. :) My huskies (and cats!) always bug me when I'm crocheting.
Sheri: Sherishutterbug93 on August 10th, 2004 08:40 pm (UTC)
Thanks! I think I've been able to really work at it and keep it up because Mark & I are both committed to the plan. It would be a much different story if only one of us was trying to do it alone. :P

I think Sydney misses the attention that she doesn't get when I'm involved with something else. ;) I love every minute of her bothering me, though! :)

Where did you get the new icons from? They are really cool!

Thanks! It doesn't really look like me, but at least it looks Asian. ;)
