California dreaming :)
I can't believe that this time next month I'll be in LA! :) It seems a little surreal since I haven't been back there in over a year (and prior to that I used to go every two months or so). My work trip arrangements have finally been approved and finalized so it looks like I will have a little more time to see some shows, eat at Macaroni Grill, and shop at Bath & Bodyworks. :D Yay!

Last night I did some trip planning and finally purchased our tickets to "Brooklyn Boy" at South Coast Rep. I was waiting for discounts to pop up, but I got some pretty good seats at a really good price, so I bought them. :) I also bought my ticket to see "Dorian" (which is based on "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde) at the NoHo Art Center. And though I've heard good things about Max Von Essen, I wish that David Burnham was cast as Dorian. I think he was the original Dorian since I think it's his picture on the show poster. I saw David in "Assassins" with Kevin last year and he was UN-believable!

I also called the vet's office to reserve a spot for Sydney in boarding. We'll be leaving her there for 6 nights - which is the longest that we've had to board her so far. :( I worry that she'll be afraid of the other dogs and stand up (like she did the last time) all night long and not get any sleep. :( The last time we boarded her she also shed her entire undercoat from all the stress. :( It's such a shame that our trip happened to coincide with the in-law's trip, since they usually watch her while we're away. :(

And finally, in non-trip news - Mark's a little disappointed because the new Silent Hill game came out and he forgot to stop by the Software, Etc. on the way home to get it. It just means that it's one more night that I'll actually get to see him without having to vie for his attention with a video game. ;) I'm kidding of course, since I know we all have our vices - his happens to be video games, mine is theatre. :)

I'm off to grab a shower, hope you all have a nice evening! :)

You know, I had to board SADI once when I went to Canada. And she looked different when I picked her up. Like they gave her a haircut or something. After reading your statement about Sydney shedding her undercoat due to stress, I wonder if SADI didn't do the same thing. I can't stand leaving her anywhere. If I had my way, she'd go everywhere I went. heh.

I can't stand leaving Sydney anywhere either. The last time we took her to boarding it was so hard to see them take her to the back room - she looked so happy and thought we'd follow behind her. :( And SADI probably did shed her undercoat - Sydney looked so scrawny and her fur looked shorter when we picked her up. :(

A new Silent Hill game? How could Tom have missed this?! Or I wonder if he's just not mentioned it since we're finally getting back on our feet financially. He still doesn't have Resident Evil 4! Wow, I've got so many Christmas ideas for Tom this year - those two games, the old Star Wars set on DVD... ;)

Mark might like the game "The Suffering" if he doesn't have it already. It's a Resident Evil type game set in a prison. Tom loves it.

We have yet to board the huskies and I don't even want to think about it. :( My Mom isn't really strong enough to handle them, though. My Dad always used to dogsit for us in the past.

Oh, I must mention "The Suffering" to Mark. :D He'll probably love it since he's a HUGE "Resident Evil" fan. :) And Mark is so funny when it comes to Silent Hill - he'll play it so intently that it'll get dark and he won't bother to turn on the light downstairs, but then he'll freak out because it's so dark - and the game is so eerie.

And I hope Sydney's okay there. :( Poor thing doesn't do well around too many other dogs. :(

That's how Joe is when he gets a new game... all weekend he was playing some game, not sure what it was though. Ha ha!

Wow - our husbands are very similar. :) Mark could sit in front of the Tv for hours and play his games. Once he finishes the game he needs to finish it in all the other characters (whatever that means) :P

Ha ha ha! Joe does that sometimes too!!!
He will play for HOURS and HOURS and sometimes I have to make him turn off the TV and go to bed.

Only four weeks and you will be in LA? Sometimes, time is passing quick. (No wonder that one here already can buy sweets which you only eat at Christmas. ;) At any case, I hope you will have a very nice time. :)

I hope Sydney will take it a little easier this time. Well, I wish I could do something better for her than to promise that she will be in my thoughts. But, you know, Sydney is a strong dog and she also knows that you will come back what will help her to get over the time.

Video games - in a way I adore persons which have got enough patient to play such a game until the end. :) Bettina and Monika are such persons, I'm not having the right skill for video games.

Hope you have a nice day, Sheri. :)

Time is passing so quickly! I remember my post not too long ago when I wrote that my next vacation wasn't for another three and a half months... now it's almost here! :)

And thanks for keeping Sydney in your thoughts, Sabine! That's very sweet of you and your comment really made me feel a lot better about boarding her. :)

I'm sure you'd be great at video games. But I understand it when you say you don't have enough patience to sit and play a game until the end. I think I'm that way too. :)

Hope you're having a nice relaxing vacation. :) Take care! :)

Poor Misty! :( She must've really missed you! :( I hope Sydney will be alright too - she's very timid when it comes to other dogs and I worry a lot about her. :(

Tommy is the same way about video games. He loves the wrestling and football ones. LOL. Poor Sydney, I hope she'll be okay this time around.

Heehee! Your hubby too, huh? :) I never had the interest in the games Mark would play - he really likes the eerie games like Resident Evil or Silent Hill. :P And thanks for the sweet wishes for Sydney - I feel really bad for leaving her for so long. :(
