So I went to Curves today...
...and did the FA (Figure Analysis) thingy and I have to say that I hadn't realized how heavy I had gotten... Okay, there's no scale in my house (for good reason I guess...) and I haven't been to the doctor in a while, so when the lady there weighed me I was about to fall over! :O Well, I guess we all need a starting point, huh?

The owner taught me how to use all the machines and I have to say that being short really SUCKS for all the leg machines! I could barely reach anything with my feet... :( I'm sure I'll get used to it later, but for now I was thinking "Are all these machines made for people six feet tall or something??" Certainly not made for those under five feet like me...

It was great though, and I had fun. I'm going back tomorrow. :)

They do have the back pads, right? That certainly helps, although I can imagine how it might be under 5'.

Did she show how to stand (rather than sit) at the bicep/tricep machine?

Yup, they do have the back pads and it does help :) And they did tell me to stand while doing the bicep machine, and luckily I'm not the only one (you won't believe how many of us are under 5 feet there.) :)

I'm glad to hear that you've had fun. :)

I never used such machines. My work-mate did it for some time and it sounded strenuous every time if she told something. Did you not get sore muscles?

Surprisingly no sore muscles. :) I think it has something to do with the hydraulics (though I can't be sure...) Something about the resistance on the machines and.... I'm really not too certain why, I'm just thankful that I don't have to roll myself out of bed in the morning in pain... it's wonderful. :)
