Palm Springs!
Arrived in Palm Springs yesterday afternoon and I love it here! The weather is a much warmer 90 degrees and the shopping here is incredible! :) And really, how can you NOT love a place that has streets named "Bob Hope Drive," "Ginger Rogers Rd," and "Dinah Shore Drive?" :) Everything is within a few miles of the conference hotel and I found a Kinkos (obviously) ;), a Longs, a Trader Joe's, and an Applebees so I'm in heaven.

The hotel is gorgeous and the room is HUGE! I think my bathroom is larger than my ENTIRE room in Burbank! ;) And because it's a Westin, it has a "Heavenly" bed (which looks and feels like you're sleeping in a HUGE marshmellow) :) It's SO comfortable that I didn't want to get up this morning. :P

The conference started this morning and it's very informative (I really needed the training!) and the people there were surprisingly friendly. :) They were all MUCH older than me (like I expected) but they didn't treat me as though I didn't belong. I'm on a lunch break right now, and still have two and half more days at the conference, but I don't think it'll be as bad as I originally thought. :)

Thanks for all your comments in my last entry. I was feeling a bit homesick the other day, but all of your comments certainly helped. :) *HUGS* to all of you! :) Better run back to my conference! Please have a nice rest of your week! :)

Will you get to go to the outlets in Palm Springs? :) I love those!!! We won't get to stop on the way to AZ though... since it will be too early when we pass through there.

I have heard great things about those beds! :) When do you go home to Mark and your fuzzy dog?

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll have the time to go to the outlets. :( It's too bad that you won't be able to make a stop there on your way to AZ. :(

The bed is wonderful! I want to take it home with me. :) I go home on Sunday - which seems like SUCH a long time away. :( I miss my fuzzy dog!! (And the hubby, of course!)

Those outlets are HUGE you need several hours to walk around in them. :)

I am sure you miss your doggie and Mark. I know I missed Joe terribly when I was gone last week. (Not to mention I missed my bed!)

I'm glad to hear that the people are friendly and that you like it there. I don't know something about those beds (is it something special?) but if it's so comfortable, I'm sure I also had not liked to get up in the morning. :) Hope you also will have a nice rest of the week, Sheri. *Hugs*

I was surprised at how nice and inviting everyone at the conference was - I was a little nervous because they all lookes SO serious and like they'd never even bother to speak to a little girl like me. :P But they're all very nice. :)

This morning I had the hardest time getting up! :) I just wanted to stay in my little puffy marshmellow and miss the first session this morning. Luckily I was able to get up eventually and made it to the conference just in time. ;)

Please take care, Sabine. *HUGS*

That hotel sounds awesome! I'm coming to sleep in that bed while you're at work all day!

I know what you mean about being lonely on the road. I was actually surprisngly lonely while in Hawaii. I didn't have anybody to really talk to -- the phone at night wasn't the same -- and nobody to hug & snuggle (to include my little kitty.

Haha! I want to take that bed home - but then I know if I did, I'd never get up in time for work. :P It's just so soft and comfy! :)

I know what you mean, it's been forever since Sydney's sat on my head as I slept (she sits on my pillow and looks out the window at night and sometimes she'll sit on my head, or worse, sometimes my face) ;) I miss it though. :(

I'll get to see them on Sunday, though. Woo hoo! :)
