First of all, I wanted to thank you all for your sweet wishes for my exam yesterday. :) I went in and gave it my best shot... I needed to get 45 questions correct in order to pass with a 75% --- and I got 43 questions correct! Gah! :( Somehow I think it would've been more comforting if I failed the exam by a larger margin, because this just bugs me. :P

I've been contemplating spending more money and just re-taking the darn thing. :P Passing wasn't SO important to me when I went in to take it, but somehow missing it by just 2 questions yesterday made me realize that I don't want to have gone through all those classes and taken all those days off from work just to end up with nothing. I'll have to see how I feel about it tomorrow - since I'll probably have to take it soon if I decide to go through with it again (at least while all these damn protocols and layers of the OSI/RM are still in my head). :P

To drown my sorrows (remember what an emotional eater I am!) Mark & I went down to Makino Chaya in Mililani for lunch. It's a new place that has a wonderful buffet of Japanese food. :) The only problem is that we ended up going at 1:30pm and the lunch buffet closed at 2pm. :( We did manage to get in a lot of eating in before 2pm, though (and probably gained tons of weight in the process). I came home, watched Season 3 of "Will & Grace" on DVD and snuggled with my fuzzy dog. :) Amazing what Japanese food, Will & Grace, and my cute puppy can do for my spirits. :)

I'm off to get some work done around the house. Today has been earmarked as "work on Kevin's birthday video day" :) Hope you all have a nice Sunday. :)

:( I'm sorry. Gah, missing it by 2. I'm like you in that regard -- so danged close. Missing it by more might have made me feel better.

The Japanese buffet sounds oishii! I'm glad you had that and your fuzzy dog to help make you feel better.

Awww, thanks Rita! :) Oddly, enough if I'd missed it by a larger margin the thought of re-taking it wouldn't even enter my head. :P

The buffet was SO ono! :) You could custom order udon and tempura - lots of shrimp and the sushi... *SIGH* I'd better stop before I'm tempted to go back today. ;)

Thanks for your sweet comments, Rita! :)

I'm sorry I didn't comment on the last entry but I hope everything is going alright. I've been going through some stuff emtionally didn't want you to think I was ignoring you.

Please don't be sorry, Kristen! I don't think you're ignoring me at all. I hope that things are better for you soon. Big *HUGS* to you!

Were you able to see what you missed on the exam? I am like you... wouldn't have thought about retaking it had I missed more. But Being off by two... it would eat away at me and I would HAVE to retake it. :)

Sounds like the buffet was awesome... and you had a nice day.
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on November 15th, 2004 06:28 am (UTC)
Unfortunately, no. :( It was a computer proctered exam and it just tabulates your score and tells you if you passed or failed at the end. :P I'm still debating whether I want to spend the money (and the extra stress) to re-take it... We'll see. :P

The buffet was SO delicious! :) I love Japanese food, so an all-you-can eat Japanese place is like heaven! :) *blissful smile*

I'm sorry that you missed it by two. That's what I deal w/sometimes when I take tests. *hugs* Good luck if you retake it.
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on November 15th, 2004 06:29 am (UTC)
Thank so much, Carrie. I just have to decide if I want to spend the money to re-take it (those tests are pretty expensive!) :P

I always eat way too much at Buffets. LOL They are evil, but oh so good. LOL
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on November 15th, 2004 06:30 am (UTC)
They are SO good! All you can eat shrimp tempura and sushi always lifts my spirits. ;)

Thanks so much, Karen! I'm still debating on whether or not to re-take it. :P Thanks so much for your encouraging words, though. :)

I'm sorry to hear about your exam. :( Missing it by just two questions - yes, I understand your feelings.

But, it sounds like as if you and Mark had a nice time. I'm glad that that and Sydney helped to make you feel better. :)

*Hugs* to you, Sheri. And I hope you had a nice Sunday.

Awww, thanks Sabine. :) And I think the best part of my day was getting to spend so much time with Mark & Sydney. :) Hope you had a nice weekend, Sabine. :) *HUGS* to you, too!

Awwww....bummer on the exam. Wasn't that the reason I didn't like studying at school. *L* ;-)

Oooooooh you did eat there at the new Mililani Japanese food buffet. How was it, was it only seafood. I saw it when I went over to Safeway one night.
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on November 15th, 2004 06:36 am (UTC)
I think the fact that I was so close is what really upset me. :P Blah! :P

The buffet was pretty good. :) They have an order window where you can custom order udon and tempura. :) Maybe it was because they just opened, but I found it hard to find things there - they didn't have the tempura dipping sauce anywhere (you had to ask for it at the window) and because we went late, a lot of the regular buffet items ran out. They have a really good shrimp shumai, though! :)

Sorry about the exam! Missing by a couple of points is the worst, I agree. However, on the flipside it probably does mean that you can take it again sooner than later, just need to study and review a little more.

Did you know some of the Nursing Homes do WELCOME pets like dogs, for instance, to be petted by some residents because they found out that it alleviates their spirit up and somehow pull them out of the pit of depression.

I didn't think you did for nothing when you took THAT test. Everything is a stepping stones. Some may take it faster than the other. Some do not but it's doesn't necessarily mean that you really failed something. The ONLY time you become a failure is if you STOP tyring.

Sheri: Sydney - happyshutterbug93 on November 15th, 2004 06:44 am (UTC)
Pets really do have a way of lifting your spirits. When I'm upset, all I have to do is look at my fuzzy dog and I really do feel better. :)

And you're right! The test I took on Saturday wasn't for nothing! If it helps me get to where I want to go, I should look at it as just a stepping stone. :) Thanks so much for your words of encouragement, Angela! :)

I'm so sorry you didn't pass your exam, but I want to congratulate you on almost passing. I think you should definately give it a shot, because if you got that close you should be able to do it better next time and pass. That's just my theory on missing by a few points. I know it's so frustrating, but I think you always have to look at it as how many points you earned rather than how many you missed. *hugs*

Awww, thanks so much Rachel! :) Your comment definitely lifted my spirits, thanks so much for always being so supportive and encouraging! :) You've been a wonderful friend! :)

Thanks so much, Smitha! :) I kept beating myself up about it all weekend - but then I realized that I can't change what's been done. :P Thanks for your words of encouragement! I just might try it again. :)
