Holiday-itis :P
Darn if I don't have a HUGE case of holiday-itis. :P I just don't feel like working at all. :P Today during lunch, we had a huge surprise birthday party for my BIG boss. :) We catered in food and we each got him a "stress-relief" themed gift. :) Among the many fun things he received were bottles of Sake, stress pillows, a "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff" calendar, and a soothing fragrance car airfreshner. The one thing nice about my boss is that he does have a good sense of humor about himself and recognized our little theme (and subtle hint) right away. :) I got him a "Wellness" CD set with soothing, healing music. :) If anyone remembers my post about him when he was my sales manager (and I was still in the field), you'll know that he really does need these things! :)

Speaking of work, I'm probably one of the only people who has to work tomorrow. :P It makes no sense to me - the stock market is closed, our clearing firm is closed, none of the fund companies and annuity companies are open - what are we really there for? If it was up to me, I'd say we all go home early tomorrow! Unfortunately, it isn't, though. ;P

In wonderful theatre news, I have a bunch of friends who are lined up to go to see "My Way" (Kevin's next show at La Mirada) with me during my LA trip in February. :) I haven't seen most of them in ages, so it'll be SO nice to see them all again. :) I just hope that Nick is there at the show one of the nights that I'm there - I never really know when that'll be (how often do directors go to see their own shows anyway?), but I've been really lucky that I've been able to see him at all his shows recently. :)

And finally, I can't believe that Christmas Eve is tomorrow night already! At least all of my holiday preparations are done - and wonder of all wonders... Mark actually sent out his Christmas cards - and this year he did it before Christmas! Woo hoo! ;)

Almost my whole family has to work tomorrow. :| Why can't people just go into work for a few hours and come home.

The show is in La Mirada? I know where that is. :)

I'm sorry your family has to work tomorrow! :( I think that people should be given some time off around the holidays, it's just too crazy out there! :P

And yup! The show is in La Mirada! :) I'm so excited about it! Nick is a wonderful director, so the show should be fabulous! :) And Kevin, well... he's wonderful no matter what the show. :)

Christmas Eve did sneak up on us this year didn't it? I still have one gift to get. :) I'll get it though. :D

I need to e-mail you about My Way at La Mirada. :) I looked at the site and a lot of seats are sold out already. :/

It sure did! I can't remember feeling like this last year! Each year the holidays seem to come around faster & faster! :P Hope you're able to get your last gift! :)

And when I checked the seats at La Mirada most of them were sold too. :P There are still a few off to the side that look good that weekend, though. Email me! :)

It's already 4:30 pm here and Christmas is very close. Not many people worked today morning out of the shop assitants. Yesterday evening a light bulb broke and I still bought one because it's a little dark without the spotlight(?). It already was 1:00 pm and I was surprised to see how many people still were shopping. And I've to say that the shop assistants deserve respect - they looked stressed but they were kind in contrast to some of shoppers.

I hope you've not too much and too long to work.

They really do deserve respect! Here, the malls were open until midnight for the past couple of nights and the malls are open today until about 3pm. I really feel for the people who have to work in retail - especially since I can empathize since I worked in retail for so long myself. I can't believe so many are still shopping at such a late hour! :P

And I complain about going in to work, but I really shouldn't since my day wouldn't be half as hectic as those poor people who work at the mall.

*HUGS* to you! And Merry Christmas Eve to you and Micki! :)

Merry Christmas to you and Mark! :)

How awesome, a stress relief themed party. :) I am all for that.

I hope your work day flies by today. You deserve to be home with your family and fuzzy dog.

Merry Christmas to you and Joe too! :D

I think he enjoyed all his stress relief gift items. :) And if you knew this man, you'd know that he really needs them. ;)

And we were allowed to come home early today! Woo hoo! :D

Yeah, it does seem kind of pointless for you to be at work when there's not much for you to do. Hopefully, the time will go by fast.

Merry Christmas, Mark, Sheri, and Sydney! :)

Luckily, we were allowd to leave early today - one of my co-workers came in late and left with us so he was only at work for an hour! :P

Merry Christmas to you too Amanda! Big *HUGS* to you, Tom, and Cameron (and all your furry babies!) :)
