Work is... pretty much the same, and I've been told that all these awful things that have been going on will hopefully come to an end at the beginning of next week, at the latest. I'm too nauseated with the details at the moment to really get in to it - maybe next week. :P

On a completely different, but still work related note, I must remember never to eat a big lunch right before an important meeting with upper management - especially one where I have to take minutes. :P I was SO tired at the meeting, I could barely keep up with my notes and I was constantly paranoid that I was going to lose my place and never be able to get back on track. :P It was REALLY bad - especially because it was such an important meeting and the department head (my BIG boss' boss) was sitting right next to me... Never again - I'll opt for a light lunch and make sure I get a good night's sleep the night before our next meeting. Bad Sheri! :P

On a random note, I've been noticing that I have consistently not been updating on Wednesdays (for almost two months now, looking at my calendar). It's completely unintentional and it's a pretty weird coincidence. Either my Wednesdays are so full of excitement that I'm too exhausted when I come home to update, OR Wednesdays must be the most boring day of my week where nothing journal worthy ever happens... Somehow knowing my life, I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

And finally - I'm so glad that I have a hubby who doesn't watch football - he suggested to me this morning that we take advantage of the fact that everyone would probably be at home watching the game during Superbowl Sunday and head out to Windward Mall on the other side of the island. :) And even though he doesn't really know how to shop (he's a guy and doesn't know the meaning of the word "browse") at least he's sweet enough to try! Gotta love him! :D

I'm off to set my VCR for the CBS Early Show tomorrow. :) Hope you all have a nice evening. :)

Maybe Wednesday is your favorite day (subsconciously). Mine too, coz it's the middle of the week.

Maybe it is! :D It was just really weird that in two months, I've only updated LJ once - such a weird coincidence!

CHERRY LEMONADE at Hot Dog on a Stick!!!!!!!

OOOOOOOH you gotta check if they have Holy's Apple Pie at the yogurt place, right by that okazu.

Oops...here I go off about food and you're trying to keep your weight down. Sorry!
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on February 4th, 2005 03:57 pm (UTC)
Oh cherry lemonade!!!! It's been forever since I've had that! :D I will look for that apple pie while I'm there too! :) The last time we went to Windward Mall there was a GREAT chinese food place in the food court - with the best Gau Gee Min! I must see if it's still there too! :)

Don't be sorry, I don't mind talking about food at all! It's the eating it and gaining weight that gets me down. ;) Food is one of my favorite topics of conversation! :D
Kananigirlkananigirl on February 4th, 2005 10:16 pm (UTC)
I should go sometime next week. We'll see if I can make it out there. I haven't had any of that in a long time.

Holy's pies from the Big Island are really good! It's the butter crust. If they don't have that pear is really ono too!
Carecareleswhisper on February 4th, 2005 11:34 am (UTC)
Have fun at the mall.

Thanks, Carrie.

I'm so glad that I have a hubby who doesn't watch football

Let's hear it for us hubby's that don't watch football. We're going to see Pippin instead!
Sheri: Kevin - as Booth in Assassinsshutterbug93 on February 4th, 2005 04:02 pm (UTC)
You're seeing Pippin? I've heard so many good things about it, I was really hoping that "My Way" would coincide with it so I could catch it before it closed! :( I've heard that Michael Arden is wonderful and that it's one of the best show that Reprise! has had in a while. I'd love to hear your impressions after you've seen it!
Daniel the California Highway Guycahwyguy on February 4th, 2005 04:05 pm (UTC)
I'll post a short review either Sunday evening or Monday morning with my impressions. After those two, it is Once on This Island in Long Beach, and then Annie Get Your Gun in Thousand Oaks. There's then a dearth of musicals until June/July, when I have to get tickets for Wicked, I have tickets for Purlie, and Wizard of Oz is in Thousand Oaks.

Is the Annie Get Your Gun that you're seeing a Cabrillo Music Theatre production? I've only seen one of their shows - Carousel and the show itself was very enjoyable, but I wasn't too fond of the sound system in the theatre.
Daniel the California Highway Guycahwyguy on February 4th, 2005 04:22 pm (UTC)
Yup. CMT. We're the 2nd Saturday matinee, 2nd row, top balcony. They've been getting better and better, but the few times I've seen the first week, they haven't had the sound system right. I thought their production of Carosel was great, as was their Ragtime and Pipernel. Annie was OK, but that's because of the show itself. In general, it is an inexpensive way of introducing my daughter to musical theatre: She's seeing good shows for only $11/ticket. As the song I'm listening to says, "Who could ask for anything more?"
kathyselden on February 4th, 2005 02:57 pm (UTC)
I just finished seeing Sutton & gang on The Early Show! The email I got said it was supposed to be at 8:45 but it was actually at 9:45 (when I woke up)... and I enjoyed it very much :)
Sheri: Stephanie & Kate Monstershutterbug93 on February 4th, 2005 04:09 pm (UTC)
Ah! I can't wait to see them! :) Did they sing "Five for All Forever?" Was that song in the pre-broadway version of the show that you saw?
kathyselden on February 4th, 2005 07:40 pm (UTC)
They DID sing "Five Forever," and that was actually added after Duke.
irisheyes77 on February 4th, 2005 03:29 pm (UTC)
You never got our package, did you? I mailed it on January 21st so it would get there in time for your birthday!!! I guess I forgot just how far away Hawaii really is and I should've sprung the extra money for Priority. :(
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on February 4th, 2005 04:11 pm (UTC)
Oh, not yet. :( I'm sorry! I swear they paddle our mail out to us here by canoe. ;) Please don't feel bad about it, though - it always takes forever for anything to get to us! THANKS so much for sending something in the first place! You really didn't have to at all! :)
ajayne on February 4th, 2005 03:49 pm (UTC)
:D That's Joe on Super Bowl Sunday... he wants to go out shopping! I am so glad he's not a big sports guy!
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on February 4th, 2005 04:12 pm (UTC)
Yay for our non sports watching hubbys (hubbies? - I never knew how to make that plual) ;P Mark loves Superbowl Sunday, though - no traffic! :D
ajayne on February 4th, 2005 05:00 pm (UTC)
Yeah, that's how we think too... no traffic, the malls are usually empty. :D
Tony: triquetradudepower1982 on February 4th, 2005 09:58 pm (UTC)
On those designated important meeting days, try this:

Breakfast: Vegetarian Omelet (*IF* you have any time...or get up extra early to make it)

Lunch: bring some fresh vegetables and dip (as your "light lunch") with a cool beverage

Dinner: treat yourself to something nice and filling (doesn't have to be anything EXTREMELY high in calories, but something you find delicious nonetheless)
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on February 5th, 2005 06:07 am (UTC)
Sounds like a great plan, Tony! Not only will it keep me awake and alert during those crucial meetings, but it also sounds like it'd be really great for my diet as well. :) You're such a sweetie, thanks so much! :D
Sabine: Mickisabine10 on February 4th, 2005 11:04 pm (UTC)
We are having a saying here: "After a meal you should take a nap or walk 1000 steps". I've to say I prefer the first, esp. if it was a big meal since I'm going to be very sleepy then. :)

Wish you fun at the Windward Mall.

Sheri: Sydney - happyshutterbug93 on February 5th, 2005 06:08 am (UTC)
Yup, I've learned my lesson - no big meals before a big meeting! ;) I was incredibly sleepy! :(

Hope you're well, Sabine! :) Big *HUGS* to you and Micki! :D

When I was working for the collections place, they called it being in a food coma. LOL I have to admit that happens time from time to me.

Tommy loves football, but he'll be at work. So, I can Tivo it for him, and watch something else. We have it rigged to watch/tape two things at once.
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on February 5th, 2005 06:10 am (UTC)
Haha! Food coma! I love it - that's exactly what it was - I couldn't shake it no matter how hard I tried! :P I've had it happen to me before, but never at such an important meeting. :P I've certainly learned my lesson though! :)

Yay for Tivo! I'm actually a bigger fan of sports than Mark is. ;)
the36thchamber on February 7th, 2005 06:27 am (UTC)
Haha, he doesn't watch football...I watch football...I also cook, clean, write poetry, take bubble baths, groom my eyebrows weekly...LOL...I'm so gay, but I still love my football...;P
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on February 7th, 2005 06:31 am (UTC)
I also cook, clean, write poetry,...

Ahhh! I so love a man who does all of those things! My hubby doesn't do any of those things (especially the clean part) ;) - but I wish he would! :D
the36thchamber on February 7th, 2005 07:19 pm (UTC)
I'll admit that I am a bit of a clean freak...it actually drives Lily nuts...LOL
