Just got home from seeing "Hitch"...
...and it was wonderful! I loved it! It was a sweet, feel good movie that makes you leave the theatre smiling from ear to ear. What I think I loved the most about it was the sincerity and heart that the movie had (aside from it being one of the most hilarious things I've seen in a while) - I'd recommend it to anyone!

Julie Ann was terrific in the show! What I really loved about her performance this time was that it was a little softer than her role as Sampson (on "Line of Fire"). Although I love when she plays the strong characters, I also enjoy seeing the softer side to her acting - and Casey was the perfect blend of sweet, vulnerable, and naive. She was SO different from the Julie that I'm used to seeing (in person and on TV.)

Her part in the movie was actually one of the larger roles in the show and she got a lot of great screen time. I also loved the return of her southern accent (I never know whether I'll hear it in her roles - since she never has it in person) And I found it really amusing that I had to watch this movie to finally get to see her dance! :D

I'm so glad that Mark & I were able to go to the preview tonight. :) There were actually quite a few people there and the promoters of the show went around giving "Hitch" caps to random people in the audience before the show. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get one. :( I wasn't too disappointed, though because it was a wonderful night - cap or no cap. ;)

One last side note to this whole movie night - I have to mention how incredibly expensive everything in the theatre has gotten since the last time I was there (which admittedly was 3 years ago). :P Mark & I spent nearly $28 on refreshments and we didn't buy a lot of things! I know that I haven't been to the movies in quite a while and it may seem a little ridiculous, but Mark & I had almost forgotten how to act in a movie theater - we had to refrain from applauding at the end and had to keep reminding ourselves that it wasn't a live performance. ;)

I hope you all had a nice evening! I'll catch up with all of you tomorrow morning, I promise! Right now, my bed is calling me. :)

Glad that you had a wonderful time at the movie theater. :) I've read a little about "Hitch" and it sounded nice - I should think of that movie when we can see it here in March.

Hope you slept well and that you will have a nice day. :) *Hugs*

Oh, "Hitch" opens there in March? You should really see it. It's a cute movie and Julie is wonderful in it. :)

I slept a little too much last night - I ended up not even getting on the internet last night! :o *HUGS* to you, Sabine!

I'm glad you two liked the movie. :) Sounds like you had a blast!!! Movie concessions can be expensive. I used to work at a movie theater concession stand. It's insane. Glad you had fun regardless. :) BTW, some people clap at the end of movies here. :)

The movie was just so cute! :D Julie was SO different in the movie from what I'm used to seeing - she was great, though! :D It's a sweet romantic Valentine's movie. :) And I think a few people clapped at the end of "Hitch" here too. :)

When Chicago was in the theatre it used to always feel sooo wrong not to clap at the end of each number. I really had to hold back!

Glad that you got the chance to see it. :) I loved the movie, but I may be biased because Julie's in it. ;)

I dig Will Smith, he kind of reminds me of myself, goofy yet charming...LOL
