My wonderful day at work! :D
I should probably start off by saying that I work in an office with possibly the best staff ever! It's very rare that a group of people will come together who are as caring and as hard working as our staff and I just feel so blessed to be on the same team as all of them.

Yesterday seemed like your typical work day... nothing special. The trades went out and were processed as usual and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Until I noticed, halfway through the day that one of my bosses was out of the office. When I asked the others where she was I got an unusual mix of answers. One person said, "Oh, I don't know!" The others said something about my boss' daughter school had called.

About a half hour later I was called out of my office and what did I see? They were all outside, with bento lunches (box lunches), a beautiful pink tulip plant and a gift bag -- all for me! I was speechless! My boss hugged me and told me, "Congratulations on your 10 year anniversary with us!" I wanted to cry! It was just SO sweet! I hadn't even remembered that it was almost exactly 10 years ago that I started working there!

I must've been in shock the entire afternoon! And everyone in the office was so thrilled that I knew nothing about it - because I have to say, we're all the worst at lying (which is a VERY good thing in our line of work!) and it's always hard for us to keep our surprise parties really a surprise. :)

And people wonder why I made some of the decisions I made last year regarding my job... I think yesterday was a BIG reason why I could never leave the people I work with. :)

I'm off to do some cleaning and look for "Hitch" reviews online. Hope you all have a nice weekend! :) *HUGS*

wow, that's so very cool. and congrats on your 10 year anniversary.

as for reviews of "Hitch," I highly recommend Rottentomatoes.com. I do believe it had a freshness rating of about 67%, which isn't bad. enjoy the movie!

Awwww, thanks Lauren! :D

And thanks for the link, I'll have to take a look. I think you'll be very surprised if you saw Julie in "Hitch," Lauren. It's a complete 360 from her role in "Line of Fire!"

I'll probably wait to check it out on HBO or some other movie channel. right now my heart is set on two arty/foreign films, so my plan this weekend is to see them both. I tried this past weekend, but all I did was goof off, go to the gym, and sleep.

I look forward to trying to catch her in other roles. I really liked Julie in LOF, as I did most of the cast, so I look forward to trying to follow them in other roles. although I did try that Anson Mount show about the ski mountain and blech. you'd think I'd like a show like that being that I'm a big skier and all, but no. oh well....I'm sorry that I also missed Julie on "Alias." that show has completely fallen off my radar any more. of course it doesn't help that there are a lot of Duke games on Wednesdays at 9, and when forced to choose, Duke always wins out. (but then I'm sure you're surprised to hear me say that ;)
