One thing I learned the hard way ;)

...Never change your passwords for work right before leaving on a vacation. :P I swear, the guys who work at the PC help desk must've really hated me today. :P I couldn't log on to the bank server and then I couldn't log into my email. I felt like a real basket case this morning. :P

But surprisingly, aside from the unfortunate password incidents, work was actually pretty calm and enjoyable today. My phone rang half the number of times that it usually does, but I think it might've been due to the fact that I couldn't log into my email to turn off my "out of the office" message all morning. ;) It ended up being a real blessing since I was actually able to catch up on a few things and attempt to straighten out my office. :)

In Julie Ann news -

This Wk Last Wk Title Dist. Weekend Gross Cumulative
# of
1 1 Hitch Columbia Pictures $36,500,000 $94,815,000 2 3575

Woo hoo! :D After two weeks at the box office I'm so happy that the movie is still doing so well! :) One of the cutest things whenever I speak with Kevin is how his face just lights up every time Julie is mentioned. :) Gotta love a man who is that in love with his wife! :D

In other theatre-ish news, I felt compelled to buy the "Pajama Game" DVD at Suncoast today during my lunch break. I'm still very sad about the passing of John Raitt and just felt like watching him in something. Besides, the revival of this is supposed to go to Broadway soon and I've been rather upset at the casting of Harry Connick, Jr in the lead - I've always thought that Kevin would be perfect for the role (but then again, I think that of almost every role). ;)

On a completely different note, Mark & I have a pretty busy weekend ahead. On Saturday night we're finally going to get to see my friend Susan's new house and her darling puppy Toby! :D She's throwing a little housewarming party and  I'm pretty excited since I haven't really seen Susan since Christmas! :( Then on Sunday the in-laws are taking us out to brunch for a combination birthday celebration for me and my sister-in-law Julie (yes, my sister-in-law's name is Julie too - there are four Julie's that I mention a lot in my journal - it can get a little confusing!) ;)

And I was going to post the photos from this weekend - but I've been so exhausted that I think I'm just going to crawl into bed right now so I won't be a zombie at work tomorrow. Hope you all have a nice evening! :)

Sounds like a fun weekend ahead. :)

The password incident seemed to work in your favor today. It's always nice to have time to catch up. :)

I'm really looking forward to seeing Susan - I felt like it's been so long since I've seen her. :(

Haha! That it did! :D Unfortunately everyone knew I was back today and the amount of phone calls made up for yesterday. ;)

I had forgotten that Mark's sister's name was Julie!

I'm glad that you're back home safe and sound. I can't wait to see the pictures!

Haha! I have too many Julie's that I mention here that it gets really confusing!

And it's so good to be home! :) I really missed Mark and Sydney a lot! :(

A calm day at work sounds nice to me. :)

It looks like as if you would have a great weekend. Hope you will enjoy it. And while I'm looking forward to see pictures I really don't like the thought that you would look like a zombie. :)

*Hugs* to you and to Sydney too, please. :)

It was so nice! Especially because I had very little sleep the night before and too much excitement might not have been the best thing. ;)

Luckily I got to sleep at a reasonable time last night so I wasn't a total zombie at work this morning. :) I still don't think I've caught up on all my sleep, though. :P

Hope you have a nice Thursday, Sabine! *HUGS* :D

The passing of John Raitt was indeed a very sad event. He was an amazing man and I'm glad to see him mentioned and remembered out here in LJ world. Spent some time with Bonnie last Thursday. She did a lovely tribute to her dad. She carries on the family name very proudly.

Oh, my heart goes out to his family! :( The last time I saw Mr. Raitt was two years ago at an awards show in LA. He looked and sounded wonderful! His passing was such a great loss to the theatre community. :(
