One of our co-workers today spotted a rat in our office! :P We've been having problems with rodents for quite a while and would notice that candy and food on people's desks would magically vanish overnight and half eaten wrappers would be found in our storage room the next morning. For a while they were sure the rats only came out at night, but we were shocked to see one in broad daylight this morning! :P We've put out traps for them, but the rats are too smart and in the morning we'd find the traps across the room with fur stuck to it. :( All my co-workers want to set traps that will electrocute them, (and I know this sounds a little odd) but I feel a little sorry for them. No matter how unsanitary they may be, I just can't see killing them. :(

On a completely different note, I re-read my post yesterday and have decided to stop griping about my unhealthy ways and actually do something about it. :) I've finally put my mind to it and have begun my healthy eating diet and my exercise routine again. :) No one was more surprised than I was when I was actually motivated enough to leave the house EARLY this morning to go to the market before work! :P There I loaded up on fruits and vegetables and the lo-cal, low fat food that I had been so used to last year. Hopefully this healthier lifesytle will stay with me and I won't be forced to stress-eat as much any more. :P

And before I leave, you know I have to post the "Hitch" numbers. :) I'm sure I'll eventually stop posting them, but for now, I'm just so happy that it's still doing so well! And for Julie's sake, I'm just so happy that it's had such prosperous theater run so far. :)

I'm off to grab a shower... I'm already beginning to feel the muscle aches begin... Working out after you've be extremely lazy for the past four months is a very rude awakening! :( Hopefully I'll be able to actually get out of bed tomorrow. :P Hope you all have a nice evening! :)

The one thing I would suggest is to wipe things off you use daily, and get from the storage room. Rat droppings can be toxic. Maybe also carry hand sanitizer. We had rats in our stockrooms at Sears. They cautioned us to do all these things to make sure we were safe. They also had us wipe the tops of soda cans/water bottles we bought from the vending machines.

I hope you aren't too sore tomorrow.

That's a really good idea - we've been told how unsanitary those rats can be and who knows what they crawl over in our storage room. :(

I actually (surprisingly) feel pretty good this morning. :) We'll see what happens after I work out today, though. :P Thanks, Laura.

Rats!! Yikes!!

Midnight caught a mouse one time and we didn't kill him, we just let him go outside. I know what you're saying. Hubby & I don't feel like killing anyone.

I feel exactly the same way! Whenever we see that they were caught in the trap from the previous night (but got away) I always feel so bad for them. I hope we don't have to resort to killing them! :(

I hope the rat situation can be solved w/o killing them. Like Laura said though, hand sanitizer and wipe things off that you use. :)

I hope we don't have to kill them either! :( And I think I will have to start carrying little bottles of hand sanitizer from now on. :P

Rats are really smart animals and in a way they even can look kind of nice if you see them outside in the open country. Not that I love them and, of course, they can be carrier but I too hope that they find an other solution.

Hey, back to healthy eating and exercise routine - crossing my fingers that it will stay with you. :) I hope your muscles have not been too sore.

Please take care, Sheri. *Hugs*

The rats in our office are so smart that they actually pulled themselves off of our sticky traps! :P I don't want them around, but I don't want them to be killed! :(

I've been doing pretty well this week - and really, the first couple of weeks are the hardest! :P Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up. :)

Hope you have a nice rest of your week, Sabine! Big *HUGS*

I hate rats, I haven't actually seen awhile...we have lots of oppossums here, they're scary...

Oh oppossums! I freaked out the first time I saw one when I lived in Santa Barbara! :O I swear I had one hanging upside down right outside my window! For someone who'd never even seen a squirrel before, that was VERY scary! :P

Yikes about the rat! I worked at a pet store in high school and the pet rats were my favorites, though. You might want to check out 74redwood's default icon. ;)

Haha! What a perfect icon she has! :D I really don't want them to kill the rats in our building - I hope there's another way! :(
