So it's taken me this long to realize that "Lost" is filmed here...
And it took actually seeing the crew here to bring me to that realization. :P

This morning I thought it was odd that there were cones and traffic cops telling me I couldn't turn in to the parking structure where I usually park my car for work. :P I didn't even notice the tons of trailers that lined the streets next to the mall across the street from our bank until I passed them by on my way inside my branch (I'm not the most observant at 7 in the morning). :P Apparently, they were filming a scene from "Lost" on the floor of the parking structure that we all usually park our cars! And I've never seen the show before so I was under the impression that they only filmed in "tropical" areas. Those who have seen the show did mention that sometimes they have flashback scenes and this was probably one of them...

We had a GREAT view of the shooting from the second floor of our office building and we were all pretty intrigued by it for the first half hour or so. Sadly it was the most exciting thing that's happened at my workplace in months... :P

And speaking of TV, we've started up our American Idol contest at work again. It's funny that the Compliance Officer (namely, *ahem* me) would be the one who is in charge of it... :P I guess it's not setting a very good example of "complaint" behavior - though it's all in fun and even our BIG boss surprised me and agreed to participate. :O

I'm off to catch up on all of your journals and try to get some studying in. I actually brought my Series 53 book with me on the trip this past weekend thinking I could get some studying done... Ha! How ridiculous is that? :P Of course the only thing it ended up doing was making my carry-on bag incredibly heavy! :P Hope you all have a nice evening. :)

Oh wow!

I'm a Lost geek so that was my little moment of excitement for the night. ;-)

I have to start watching that show - I've heard so many good things about it - and Mark has all the episodes (so far) on tape. :)

Hehehe Sheri! You didn't know that Lost was filmed here?

I went by Pearlridge and saw them filming Lost. I thought, Hey is that for Lost? Why is that at Pearlridge?

I'd heard that it was filmed here - but I never really thought about it too much since I rarely watch TV. :)

I'm probably one of the few people that don't watch the show. ;-)

ah hem...we saw previews for them and thought oh what a silly show. But maybe now there's a reason for me to watch! :P Sis of course will probably be annoyed, as I watch every show showcasing Hawaii and she is tired of all my stories! *sigh* Heck..I even watch Magnum PI these days... but darn it now I work at those times he he hehe

oh by the way, Hitch opens this weekend!! A bunch of us are planning to go the following week as our classes start up this Saturday.

Haha! I used to watch Magnum PI to see different parts of the island and watch Hawaii 50 reruns when I was homesick in Santa Barbara. :P

Yay! I'm so glad you're going to see "Hitch!" Keep an eye out for Julie - she plays Eva Mendes' best friend Casey. She's absolutely wonderful in the show. :D

Lucky you for getting to see "Lost" filming! I love that show; it's amazing how great it is for being something that sounds more like a movie of the week. Study hard! :)

It was very shocking to see them film it in our parking lot! :) A lot of my co-workers had to pass right by the filming to get down the stairs from their cars and got really close to the action. I didn't realize how many people are needed on a shoot like that - tons of crew people were sitting and milling around.

And I've never seen the show, but Mark really likes it. :)

I have never seen that show. It just doesn't look interesting to me.

I think I'm going to try and watch a few of the tapes that Mark has. Seeing them film it has peaked my interest. :)

Haha! :D That's SO true! I should learn by now that studying and vacation don't go together, but I'm always the optimist. ;)

oh yes!!!
I DO watch American Idol and so far, I don't think none of the girls are good. The guys, for some odd reason, sings better. But then again, maybe it's just me. But, if these girls make a record of their own someday, I won't be the 1st person in the store, that's for sure!

Re: oh yes!!!
This year the guys in the competition are much stronger than the girls. Not that the girls are really bad, but the guys are very talented this year and quite a few of them stand out. :)
