Last night Susan and I went out for our monthly dinner night. :) We went to eat fried rice and gyoza at our favorite little Ramen shop near my workplace and ended up talking the entire evening about our men. :) It usually isn't until after I see her that I realize how much I really miss talking with her - but both of our schedules are usually so busy that just planning the dinner once a month is sometimes quite difficult for us. The last time we went to dinner together was all the way back in November - and sure, I've seen her since then, but it's hard to really talk about things when our men are around. :P A girl's night out is just what we needed. :)

On a different note, my arm's been bothering me so much that I've finally made a doctor's appointment to get it checked out on Saturday. :P The funny thing was that it's been SO long since I've seen my doctor that when I called the number that was on the business card I found for him, I got a receptionist who told me, "I'm sorry he no longer practices in this office." :P I must've sounded completely shocked because she went on to explain that he moved over 3 years ago. :P Have I not gone to the doctor in that long? :P

And I think I've created a new "West Wing" fan. :) I let my Mom borrow my Season One DVD set and she's completely hooked. She was pretty skeptical when I first told her about the show since she usually doesn't watch a lot of episodic TV - she's more of a reality show person. Hopefully I can get her hooked on "Will & Grace" next. ;)

In theatre news, I'm getting very excited about planning my upcoming theatre trips. :) In addition to seeing "Sail Away" in April, I'm going to try to see "Play Without Words" at the Ahmanson and "Climbing Everest" at my very favorite theatre - the Colony. :) And in addition to seeing "Applause" in May, I'm definitely going to see a showing of "You Can't Take It With You" at the Geffen (where I saw Julie Ann in "Boy Gets Girl" a few years ago.) :)

Before I go, I wanted to wish a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the36thchamber whose birthday is on the 1st! :) Happy Birthday, Doug! I hope you have a fantastic day! :D

I'm off to pay some bills online and get some sleep. This has got to have been one of the longest weeks ever! I'm so glad that my supervisor finally comes back from vacation on Monday. :) And all I can say is thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! Hope you all have a nice evening! :)

Thanks for the Birthday wishes Sheri, it means alot coming from a sweetie like you...:D...so I was wondering what you were talking about when talking about Men...lol...ya know we men can be real bafoons sometimes...lol...I like to think that I'm one of the good ones but I have my moments...lol...anyways, hope your arm feels better, a good doctor can be hard to find, I think this is even more true for a woman...with my experience it seems that most male doctors like to write women off as being hormonal and it really frustrates me...*sigh*

Awww, hope you had a nice day yesterday, Doug! :) *HUGS* And when Susan and I get together to talk about our men, it's all in fun - we couldn't get along with our men. :) And you're so right that a good doctor is hard to find! I really like my doctor, but it was funny that even though I'd found a good one, I couldn't locate him when I was trying to make the appointment. ;) It all worked out, though and I saw him today. :) Thanks for your nice wishes!

Have you had your ergometrics checked, both at work and at home. Also take a look at your writing position at work. In particular, are you hunching your shoulders as you write? You might consider hitting the local pharmacy and getting a wrist support.

Speaking as someone whose arm is finally healing, it is a long slow road. If you have what I had, an irritated nerve, there is nothing you can do to speed healing, other than time. Get what irritated it fixed, get some support to reduce the irritation, change your habits, and let it start healing.

Good luck.

I really do need to check out my workstations, at work and at home - I'm quite sure it's led to my recent problems. :P Thanks for all your supportive comments, Daniel - I did finally go to the doctor today and hopefully the anti-inflammatory drugs that he prescribed for me and the exercises that he wants me to do will help it to start healing.

Hey Sheri! Do you like Chinese food? Do you know about a place called Bo Lee Kitchen in Aiea? I just went there tonight and the food is ONO! The Chicken Cake Noodles is excellent! The Fried Rice and Sea Bass Juk is also SO ONO! The best thing they don't have ajinomoto! Btw, whole plates of food is under $6.

That is SO funny that you should mention Bo Lee Kitchen! I was just there when I went to eat at Daiichi with Susan and I was looking at their menu outside while I waited for her to arrive! The food looks very good and you're right - the prices looked nice too! I'll have to try going there. :)

You have to try the food! Make that the next place you and Susan go to the next time. It's really good! I just went and wow I was impressed. They serve a lot of food and the Chicken Cake Noodle and Seabass Juk is just ONO! Ah, I want some now. ;-)

Funny how time flies when there are dr visits involved! Did you actually end up making an appointment? Please let me know what you find out.

I did end up making an appointment. :) And I went to see him today. It was funny because I told the nurse that I'd never seen their new office before and she said, "You haven't seen the doctor in over three years?!" I guess that's good in a way... :)

Sounds like that you and Susan had a nice time. :)

I've to admit that I don't visit the doctor on a regular basis and so I too was surprised to hear that our family doctor had moved when I had to visit him because I squeezed my thumb in the door of the riding hall some time last year. Please let me know what the doctor says to your arm.

Here Friday will be over soon. Hope you will have a wonderful weekend.

*Hugs*

Thanks, Sabine! Susan and I had a wonderful time! I always love spending time with her. :) I wish our schedules weren't so busy and we could do it more often. :P

It was funny because all the staff was so shocked that I'd never been to the new office before - and they all said it was kind of good, at least that I didn't need a doctor in over three years. ;)

*HUGS* to you, Sabine! And please give one to Micki for me too! :D
