Stolen from everyone on my friends' list - and modified it a little. ;)
01. Post a list of 10 TV shows you love or loved growing up (current or cancelled!)
02. Have your friends list guess your favorite character from each show
03. When guessed bold the line and write a sentence about why you like that character.

1. M*A*S*H
2. Line of Fire - isn't this one a giveaway? ;) Jennifer Sampson - not only because of Julie Ann, but because Sampson was the character who was the most fully developed on the show. She had a tough side, but had a soft side to her as well - AND because of... well, Julie. :)
3. West Wing
4. Will & Grace
5. Friends - Chandler - simply the funniest character on the show (and I was a long time Matthew Perry fan before Friends even aired.) :)
6. Wings
7. Dharma & Greg - Dharma - I love her free spirit.
8. Mad About You - Jaime - she's so neurotic at times that she reminds me of me. :)
9. Thirtysomething
10. Caroline In The City

On a musical note, this was stolen from some other friends (on a similar vein):

01. Post a list of 10 shows you love
02. Have your friends list guess your favorite song from each show
03. When guessed bold the line and write a sentence about why you like that song.

1. "A New Brain" - "I'd Rather Be Sailing"
2. "Baby" - "I Chose Right" - simply a beautiful song...
3. "Side Show"
4. "1776" - "Molasses to Rum" - probably the most powerful song in the show!
5. "A Chorus Line"
6. "Assassins" - "Unworthy of Your Love"
7. "City of Angels"
8. "Parade" - "This Is Not Over Yet"
9. "Follies" - "I'm Still Here" - I've always loved it but hearing Donna McKechnie sing it in LA a few years ago was just incredible! :)
10. "Anyone Can Whistle"

The second part was so hard for me since there are so many songs I love from each of these musicals. :P You don't have to guess them all, you can guess only the ones you want to. :D Thanks so much in advance for participating! :)

Re: Line of Fire...
Haha! Was it the icon that gave it away? ;) I guess this one was pretty obvious, huh? :)

Wow - great guesses, Tony! :)

You got two of them correct :)

2. Jennifer Sampson
5. Chandler :)

I have to admit that I do love C.J. on "West Wing" - it was really hard, but I picked another character as my favorite. Thanks for your great guesses, though. :)

Re: slightly bored, procrastinating, and guessing
Wow! you did some major guessing! :) For the TV part you got 3 of them correct. :)

2. Jennifer Sampson - Julie's character :)
5. Chandler :)
7. Dharma

Haha! Had I read your answer before I picked a favorite I would've picked Murray the dog for "Mad About You" :)

For the musical part, you did REALLY well! You got 4 of them right!

1. "I'd Rather Be Sailing"
2. "I Chose Right" - Such a gorgeous song! :) Had trouble though because I love "Easier to Love" as well - heck the whole cast recording is incredible!
6. "Unworthy of Your Love"
8. "This Is Not Over Yet"

I had a hard time with these because I love so many of the songs from each of the shows. Thanks for guessing, Kayla! *HUGS*

Ok, 1776 is all about Molasses to Rum (and I know Kevin played Rutledge *g*).

A New Brain, has to be Sailing.

Side Show my favourite is Private Conversation, actually, but I'm guessing one of Buddy's bits - maybe More than we Bargained For?

Can't even begin to guess on the others - especially since Assassins and Anyone Can Whistle have so much good stuff in there. So does Parade.

Haha! VERY correct on the "Molasses to Rum" - I think it's the most powerful song in the show. :)

Right again on "I'd Rather Be Sailing" from "A New Brain" - great song!

I love "Private Conversation" too - but I didn't pick it or "More Than We Bargained For" as my favorite for this.

It was really hard for me to choose just one favorite for most of these. :P

Okay for shows...
1. Hawkeye... or *maybe* Colonel Potter
4. Grace
5. Monica
7. Dharma
10. Caroline

Okay in terms of shows... this is hard because the only ones I'm really familiar with out of that are 1776, A Chorus Line, Follies, and Anyone Can Whistle. And in all sincerity, I have no idea what your favorites would be. From Follies... hmm, maybe I'm Still Here? Wow. I suck at this, lol!!

For the TV portion you were right about Dharma :) - she definitely is my favorite character. :)

And for the musical part, you were right about "Follies!" I love "I'm Still Here" - it's my favorite song from the show - and hearing Donna McKechnie sing it in LA was amazing! :) Thanks for your guesses! :)

Caroline and the City! Gill and I used to looove that show! It's where my love for Malcolm Gets first flourished. :) We also watched Mad About You all the time. Did you ever watch Ned and Stacey?
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on April 8th, 2005 08:16 am (UTC)
I just loved Malcolm Gets in that show! :) My favorite though was the character of Annie. She was the first prime time character who made their living as a broadway performer and I found that fascinating. :)
karen: norbertwakedistracted on April 9th, 2005 09:40 pm (UTC)
That's true...we did love the theatre references. I think the fact that we loved Malcolm was one of the main reasons we first bought A New Brain! :)

Also - to respond to your other comment: yes, Ned and Stacey was funny! I think we must have been some of the only people that watched it, though.:( I'm glad Debra got the part on Will & Grace, though...she is so funny.
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on April 8th, 2005 08:18 am (UTC)
And I missed watching "Ned & Stacey". :( But I heard it was quite funny. :)
