Well, our big broker-dealer conversion date is final now - it's going to be on September 16th. :( My BIG boss is very into things like the moon and the stars aligning correctly (and whatever else he uses to determine these things) but he claims that the 16th is a bad day for anything and the fact that our big conversion falls on the 16th is a VERY bad omen... Way to instill confidence in the rest of us! :P

On a completely different note, my new healthy eating plan (I hesitate to call it a diet because I really don't like that word) is going okay, although today at the market, I was sure I heard some chocolate brownies calling my name... :P Thankfully I ignored them, but tomorrow my office is picking up some dim sum for our big conversion meeting and I don't know if I'll be able to ignore a manapua (pork bun to those not in Hawaii) if it starts calling out to me tomorrow. :P

And on a theatre note - I'm pretty upset that I'm missing MTG's staged reading of "The Wild Party"! :( Not only is it being directed by Nick, but it's been SO long since Misty was in a production in LA and it figures that the only one she's in recently, I can't see... :( Plus, Tami Tappan Damiano AND Bets Malone are in the cast too! WAH! I hope Linda has a very detailed review of the show, because I'll probably need to live vicariously through her again. :(

Hope you all have a nice evening - I'm off to find my fuzzy dog. :)

Somethings should be kept to quiet!!

My aunt told the rest of the family how her "fortune teller" said my grandmother is going to pass away by Sept of this year despite the fact the doctor said she's got another good 5 years ahead of her. I'm not a believer of fortune tellers, but if something should happen to my grandmother by Sept, I might visit this fortune teller myself.

Does the pork bun have BBQ sauce inside it? Wow that sounds so good...someone should open up a Hawaiian restaurant in DC!

Haha! I agree! I think it was only meant for us in the back office, but that sure didn't make any of us feel any better about any of this! :P

I'm really not too much of a believer in fortune tellers, etc. either. I have friends who are really into it and see a fortune teller on a regular basis. I'm still a bit skeptical.

The manapuas (pork buns) have char siu with sort of like a plum sauce (but better) - it's so delicious and it's VERY addicting! :)

My BIG boss is very into things like the moon ...

I knew a rider who tried to explain that her horse was in a kind of bad mood with such things. I don't know, perhaps she was not really good or so, but it never worked. I'm not sure how far I would be believe in such things but if I would believe it I would not say the things like your Big boss did; if you believe it or not it may have any kind of influence and it would be enough when I would be more worried than usual.

"Healthy eating plan" sounds much better to me as diet. :) And congratulation for ignoring the chocolate brownies. :)

Hope you are having a nice day, Sheri. *Hugs*

I agree, saying those things sure didn't make any of us feel any better about the upcoming conversion. :P

And I was so happy that I ignored the chocolate brownies - unfortunately the manapua and donuts were calling much too loudly for me to ignore them today. :(

Hope you're having a nice weekend, Sabine! :D *HUGS*

Awww, thanks Kristen! :D

I'm disappointed I won't be able to see it, but I've got a bunch of friends who will be there and hopefully they'll let me know what I've missed.
