I felt like all I've been doing is sleeping the past two days...
What is happening with my sleep schedule? I've been falling asleep at some really indecent hours recently. I know I'm still trying to get over that flu thing that I had (and I know that my old age is probably getting the better of me) ;), but to fall asleep consistantly before 8pm is just unheard of! :P I guess that sort of explains my absence here recently. :P Lately I haven't even had the energy to check email, which is extremely unusual for me. :P

On a completely different note, my dinner with Susan the other night was wonderful! It turns out that she's started a new diet as well so our normal indulgent eating was kept to a minimum. She bought the diet plan (which I've seen commercials for on TV) where you determine your body type and eat (or avoid) certain foods based on your findings. She says the exercise plan is only 15 minutes, twice a week! Mark & I workout every night for an hour... How can I get on her plan? ;) In all honesty, though, I do like our plan because sometimes I'm a little wary of diets that tell you to eliminate one food group completely. I do hope that it works well for Susan, though. :)

While we were at dinner, I ran into the in-laws who got to meet Susan for the first time. It was really nice to see them there and they sneakily paid our bill for us without us knowing! That was SO nice of them, but we both felt so bad! I'm glad that we ran in to them and they got to meet Susan, though since I do a lot of talking about her. :)

On a theatre note, lindasings was lucky enough to see "The Wild Party" on Monday and thankfully was sweet enough to email me with her reactions. :) She said she spoke with Misty the next day who told her to tell me that she promised to be better about informing me of her upcoming projects - which just made me feel horrible! :( What she really should've said was that I should be better about updating her site! Of course she'd never say that, or probably even think it because she's such a dear, but I just feel so guilty about having neglected her site. :( From now on, though I promise to be much better about updating it! :)

I'm thankful that it's already Thursday (and lucky Mark has a state holiday tomorrow) but the weekend will probably be a pretty busy one for me... On Saturday I plan to go to the Pan-Pacific Festival to take some pictures and then on Sunday - Mark, Sydney, and I are meeting Susan, Fredrick, and Toby-dog for Petwalk - the annual fundraising walk we go to each year for our local Humane Society. It should be a lot of fun, but very tiring. :)

I'd better run, I should do some things around here before I get ready for work... Hope you all have a nice Thursday! :)

I really hope the flu bug goes away very soon. I'm sorry to hear that you still have a touch of it.

What a sweet thing for your in-laws to do. :)

Have fun this weekend. :D

Thanks, Carrie. It was really sweet of my in-laws. :)

I agree - though I've heard many people who have had a lot of success with those diets, I don't necessarily think they're the best thing. I'm more comfortable with a "healthier eating" change (not as many calories, not too much fat" and a lot of exercise. :)

And it was so sweet of my in-laws to pay the bill (but so sneaky) ;).

Hope your ankle is feeling better, Kristen! :)

Must be the change in weather! It's making me SO lethargic lately! :P Hope your sleep schedule goes back to normal soon!

Hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures this weekend. :D If I do, I'll definitely post them! :)

I'm glad that you had such a nice time with Susan and it really was very nice from your in-laws to pay your bill. :) Thinking of diet, once I saw a report about people which tried to lose weight with different kinds of diets. There has been one man who went to a dentist to get prepared his molars in such a way that he only could open his mouth so far that a straw still was fitting so that he could drink water and vitamins. He lost weight but he had pain too. Still, he would do it again. To me, it's a scary idea. Most success had a couple what went to the Weight Watchers and a woman who changed her eating to a healthier eating and did exercises.

I hope that the flu thing will go away soon and that you feel better soon! Wish you fun the next weekend. :)

Please take care, Sheri. Big *hugs* to you

Oh my goodness! That's rather drastic to have your jaw wired shut! :O I don't know if it's healthy to go to that extreme - I agree, it's a scary thought! I just think that even if it takes a lot longer, a change to a healthier lifestyle is the best way to diet (eating better and exercising a lot more).

Hope you're having a nice weekend, Sabine! Big *HUGS* to you! :D

That was of your in-laws to pay the tab.

I'm really looking forward to starting to exercise again. I haven't been allowed to do *anything* for the past 12 weeks and I feel so out of shape and lethargic because of it!

I don't agree with diet plans that want you to eliminate a whole food group, either. There is good and bad in everything.

Sheri, you and Mark are both fine the way you are, too.

Got so excited when I saw your comment - does this mean that it's the end of your chemo? Okay, wait... let me just answer your email. ;)

Big *HUGS* before I go, though! :D
