"Hitch" on dvd...finally! :)

Yay! I just picked up my copy of the "Hitch" dvd today from Suncoast! :D It's been so long since I've seen it that I'd forgotten how great Julie Ann was in the movie and how DIFFERENT her character Casey was from all the other characters I'm used to seeing her play (and of course how different Casey is from Julie herself!) I can't wait for her new series "Commander in Chief" to begin - it's been ages since I've seen "tough Julie" on my screen. :)

Speaking of the Earleys, I found a cute caricature of Kevin and the cast of "Applause" on Justin's site. :) I think he did a wonderful job of capturing the individual personalities of the actors in the production (especially Veanne Cox - that expression on her face is so sweet and priceless!) :) I especially liked that he drew Kevin's Bill with his back turned, staring lovingly at Margo (and not even noticing Eve) since Kevin's Bill was all about supporting and loving Margo. Justin always does such great work (and has done several other caricatures of Kevin's past shows), but somehow this illustration is my favorite. :) Isn't he talented?

In non-theatre news, I've been seriously contemplating entering our bank's employee art contest this year. I've been passing it up the past couple of years because I was never in the mood to take photos, but this year I thought that I'd possibly try it, since I seem to have a renewed interest in photography. I guess I'll have to wait until I get my photos back from the lab on Friday to see if any of the pictures I took recently are worth entering - and whether or not I even have the courage to enter any of them (which is a different story altogether!) :P

Before I head off to find the fuzzy dog and get some sleep, I just wanted to wish kananigirl a very happy birthday! I know it isn't quite the 15th in Hawaii yet, but it's close. :) Happy Birthday, Rayna! Hope it's a good one! :D
