Luckily though there must be some force at work in the universe to compensate for days like Monday, because as soon as I got to work on Tuesday - the world looked SO much brighter! Not only were the stock certificates found, but they miraculously reached their destination WITHOUT an airbill attached that contained the destination address (it had separated from the package) and was deposited into the client's brokerage account - pretty miraculous, if you ask me! The banking officer who had a problem with us called to speak with my supervisor and worked everything out with him and we re-gained access to the accounts. AND we all ordered breakfast from a great place nearby and I had THE BEST egg white omelet with portuguese sausage and mushrooms ever! How could it get any better than that? ;)
Thankfully tomorrow is Thursday and there's a three day weekend on the horizon (I don't know if I could handle another Monday for a while...) ;P If there was ever a time that I needed a holiday it would have to be now. :P
On a completely different note, I've been wrecking my brain trying to think of something to get Mark for his birthday this year. I have a little less than a month to come up with something, and I'm surprised that I'm having such a hard time figuring this out. I told my co-worker that we've been married for almost seven years and have known each other for almost nine and I've exhausted all my possible gift suggestions a long time ago. ;) One thing I do know is that for dinner, I'm taking him to Hiroshi's Eurasian Tapas - which he'd mentioned wanting to try for a while. :) Anyone have any gift suggestions for my hubby's birthday?
And finally - I've been getting hooked on "West Wing" again. I stayed up until nearly 3:30 the other morning watching season 2 (which I'm beginning to think was their best season). It's so hard when it's on dvd because it's so easy to say, "Just one more episode then I'll go to sleep." :P It was just so engrossing that I couldn't stop watching and had I known that "Two Cathedrals" was the last episode of the season, I might have stayed up and just gone to work with no sleep at all. :P I'll admit it, I'm hooked! :P
Hope you all have a nice evening, I'm off to feed my "West Wing" addiction a little more before bed. :)
