Chad Brannon's Event - Such fun for such a good cause!
Another quick update from LA - Yesterday I went to Chad Brannon's (who used to play Zander Smith on "General Hospital") charity event for Cystic Fibrosis. My friend gigglets was in charge of planning it and this was the first time in four years that I was able to attend. :) It's also been a long time since I've seen Chad - the last time I ran into him was in October at Ten Commandments.

I was a little apprehensive about going since I haven't been a part of the "Chad scene" for YEARS and I no longer knew half the people who would be there. The only reason that kept me going yesterday was knowing that I'd get to see some of my friends who I haven't seen in a long time.

When I got there, I immediately saw gigglets who let me in early so I could help them set up. :) Everyone looked incredible! :) I was extremely surprised to see my friend Sharon who I didn't know was coming and I had seen in over 4 years! I think I was more excited to see all of them than I was to see Chad. ;) I was helping them set up the room for a good 15 minutes before I realized that he was standing there on the stage the whole time. :) He spotted me and ran down and gave me a huge, long hug. The only thing I kept thinking the entire time was what a great hugger he is and how much I've missed seeing him. He thanked me for coming and asked me if I was in town to see a Kevin show. We talked a little and I was ultimately glad that I decided to go - Chad is such a warm and gracious person and he was still very much the same genuine person that he's always been.

It was wonderful spending the afternoon with all my friends. The event was such a huge success and raised a lot of money for CF. When I left, Chad thanked me for coming and even helped me by filming a "Happy Birthday" message for my Kevin B-Day video this year. :) It's nice to see that Chad's doing so well - and I know I always say it, but I do owe him a lot - he's the one who first introduced me to Kevin five years ago. If it hadn't been for him, my life would be completely different today. I think Chad will always hold a special place in my heart. :)

I'm off to Anaheim today and will be seeing Kevin in "Guys & Dolls" tonight with gigglets, her hubby Kevin, Terry, Sharon, Laura, and Bobbie. Hope you all have a nice Friday. I'll update tomorrow about my wonderful theatre experience seeing James "Be Still My Heart" Barbour in The Ghost & Mrs. Muir last night. :) Big *SIGH*!

Sheri, your theatregoing sounds like so much fun!

By the way, I had a question for you about Julie Ann, but I'd rather ask you about it more privately...

After hearing much about (positive things) G&D, I checked to see if I can see next week but I'll be near Long Beach on Thursday during the day and come home in the evening, drats! Well I look forward to reading your G&D report!

Oh, I'm sorry you won't be able to see it. :( The cast is fabulous (Bets Malone is hilarious!) and it was one of the more polished productions that I've seen in a while.
