I'm still in Anaheim this afternoon, but have already checked out of the hotel and am trying to kill some time before my flight home this evening. Went to eat at Fuddrucker's the other night and I'm still in hamburger bliss. :) I'm usually not one for greasy hamburgers, but I have to admit that this place was above average! I'm really going to have to take Mark to a Fuddruckers the next time he's out here with me. :) And I couldn't find a Sonic out here, so sadly my Sonic curiousity hasn't been satisfied... yet! ;)
This trip was possibly the nicest that I've been on in a LONG time and I wanted to quickly re-cap some of the moments of the trip that I will never forget...
Some really WONDERFUL moments this weekend:
- As I was speaking with Nick after the Sunday evening performance of Guys & Dolls, Kevin came over and held out his phone for me to see. At first I didn't know what he was doing, then I saw it... a text message that said, "HI to Sherilynn." :D :D Julie Ann had just landed from her flight in from Lousiana (where she was shooting a Christmas special) and she was sweet enough to text Kevin the message! She's the SWEETEST person! I just adore her! :D
- While I was waiting for Kevin to get Nick out from the back, a guy who was standing by the stage door came up to me and asked, "Are you Sheri?" I was SO confused - I had no idea who he was or how he would know my name. I nodded (probably looking about as confused as I felt) and he stuck his hand out and said, "I'm Steve, I'm Bets' husband." Oh.My.Gosh. It was Steve Glaudini! (Bets Malone's hubby) :O I almost fell over! He's the former head of Performance Riverside, the wonderfully talented performer and agent... I was speechless! He was so nice and I spoke with him for a bit and told him how much I'd wanted to see him in 1776. Clearly that was a HUGE highlight of my trip! :)
- Spending time with my friends (Pat, her hubby Kevin, Terry, Sharon, and Laura) :) after Guys & Dolls on Friday night. :) We had SO much fun talking, laughing, and taking pictures that the theatre workers had to kick us out because they wanted to close the theatre. Even still, we continued our talking and laughing in the parking lot and didn't actually leave until after midnight (and the show ended at 10:30!) We kept hugging each other, attempting to say good-bye every 15 minutes for about an hour, but no one wanted to leave. It's been years since most of us have seen each other and no one wanted to go home. In retrospect we should've probably moved the party over to a Denny's or something. ;)
- Spending time with Carrie, Laura, and Roger on Saturday. :) I'm so glad they were able to come and see the show. :) They had a lot of fun teasing Kevin about his "apron scene". :D It's always nice to see them and I was so happy they could make it. :)
I also wrote up my impressions of Guys & Dolls, which I will post once I get home - seeing as how this entry has already turned into a novel. :) Hope you're all having a nice start to your week, I'll finally be home later this evening. :) I can't wait to see Mark & the fuzzy dog! :D
