Is it Friday yet? :P
Work has been SO bad lately... And by bad I mean that the entire day I just constantly feel like I'm being pulled in SO many directions (my phone rings endlessly, trades are all on the wrong forms, and there are just so many problems that need fixing). :P We're right in the midst of conversion and it's absolute chaos in our office! It's so bad that each night when I get home I'm just too exhausted to do anything. :P The only bright spot in all of our days has been the lunches that we've had to order - since no one can leave the office. Oh well, so much for not stress-eating. :P

In MUCH happier news, this weekend, Mark & I are planning to go out to dinner with Susan and Fredrick! :) It's been so long since I've seen them and I really miss talking with Susan. :( We're both always so busy that it's rare when we're able to spend some time together. And though I enjoy it when the four of us get together, I do miss our girls' night out - just because we can talk about things (like our men) more openly... I really should start scheduling our monthly dinner nights again - I miss Susan a lot! :(

Spent the better half of the evening listening to Kevin's CD. :) The cover, BTW is my new icon. :) Justin did the artwork on the cover and it's just incredible!

Little happy things about Kevin's CD that I love:
  • When he calls out his band members names for solos in "It Don't Mean A Thing" - just the way he growls out "Michael!" - it's just too cute!

  • His little "du-wah, du-wah, du-wahs" - Haha! :D

  • Those little belty notes he hits in "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes." *SIGH*

  • The ending of "Fly Me to the Moon." *DOUBLE SIGH* :)
Speaking of the Earley's - I'm so excited that Julie Ann's show "Commander In Chief" will be premiering on ABC on the 27th! If any of you aren't doing anything that night, please tune in to see her. I can't wait! :D

Before I head off to bed, I was tagged by vsprtn :D. List 20 random facts about yourself then tag as many people as it takes minutes to write them down.

  1. I'm addicted to Sudoku and crosswords and have to do both from the morning paper each day. :)

  2. I never drank alcohol before and I really don't plan to start. :P

  3. When I was four, I named my cat Hush - because she was always so quiet (and she lived to be almost 17 years old!) :)

  4. I've loved Shelties all my life, though Sydney is the first dog that I've ever owned.

  5. My first real job was working at Mrs. Field's Cookies in the mall near my house and to this day I just can't look at a Mrs. Field's cookie in quite the same way. :P

  6. I got a speeding ticket once in California. I tried to drive from Santa Barbara to Manzanar and back all in one day. :P Yes, I was young and foolish at the time... :P

  7. I rarely watch TV these days, but one of my favorite shows is "Sokoga Shiritai" which is a Japanese documentary type show about the interesting people, places, and food in Japan.

  8. I fear public speaking - the only time it got better was the year I was President of my Jaycee chapter and was basically forced to speak in front of large groups all the time.

  9. I'm not much of a reader - I rarely read books for pleasure (only out of necessity) - which is odd considering my mother is a retired librarian.

  10. The thing I find most attractive about a man is his sense of humor (a killer baritone doesn't hurt either, however) ;)

  11. One of the first things I trained Sydney to do was stretch on command (and she's pretty good at it) :)

  12. My first celebrity crush was on Dwight Clark of the San Francisco 49ers. I was completely in love with him from the time I was 11 to when I was about 15. :P

  13. I wrecked my lower back taking gymnastics when I was younger and because of it will always have awful lower back pain. :P

  14. The show that I've seen the most times on Broadway is "Thoroughly Modern Millie" - which I've seen 12 times.

  15. I used to be a diehard soap fan (and I even used to be so hardcore that I'd use nicknames for soap couples made up of both characters names... like ZEm and Manny.) :)

  16. I'm an incessant worrier and can stay up all night worrying about something trivial.

  17. Which brings me to the fact that I've had a problem with insomnia for most of my life. :P I'm also a very light sleeper and I can never go right back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night.

  18. I have a degree in photography which I don't use at all.

  19. All through school I hated math - in fact, I took Logic in college so I wouldn't have to take a college math course. :P

  20. I collect ticket stubs and playbills of all the shows I've ever attended. They're all in a file cabinet near my desk, but I think I have to find a new place for them soon because the cabinet is getting too small.

And I'm supposed to tag people based on how long it took me to do this... But I won't because I stopped in here to take a shower, play with the dog, etc... It's taken me such a long time to finish this that I'd have to tag everyone on my friends' list...

Hope you all have a nice evening. I'm off to crawl into bed and get ready for another "fun filled" day tomorrow. :P

I hope that things start to straighten out for you darlin'! You are such a dear and they are lucky to have you working there. Don't let them forget that.
I loved your little 20 items thing! Teaching Sydney to stretch on command!? Too cute!
*hugs*

I'm sorry to hear about that your work is so bad and I hope that it will get better soon!

Thanks for sharing the 20 facts about you - I really loved to read them. I too love crosswords and I always hated math. :) Perhaps I'll try to do it, I'll see how much time I need to think of 20 facts today evening.

Please take care, Sheri. Hope you all will have a wonderful dinner this weekend. :) Big *hugs* to you and please give Sydney also a hug from me.
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on September 16th, 2005 07:38 am (UTC)
Thanks Sabine - things should get better at work... Hopefully that'll be soon since I need to concentrate on the upcoming audit soon too. :P

I'd LOVE to read your list of 20 Things, Sabine. :) And have you tried Sudoku? It's a numbers game where you have to fill in digits 1 - 9 and each row or 3X3 box can't repeat numbers. It's very addicting, especially for people who enjoy crosswords. :)

Thanks for the *HUGS* (and Sydney thanks you too!) :) Please give some to Micki and Garry for me. :) Big *HUGS* to you, Sabine - have a nice weekend! :D

9. I'm not much of a reader - I rarely read books for pleasure (only out of necessity) - which is odd considering my mother is a retired librarian.

Me too. I'm not much of a reader when it comes to Harry Potter of some sort. The only books I read are educational, things that can really help me. I don't read fiction books...
Sheri: Sheri - yahoo iconshutterbug93 on September 16th, 2005 07:40 am (UTC)
I rarely read fiction too - I don't get the enjoyment that I should out of it, I think. I read a lot of informational books (on web design, text books for securities licensing, etc...) but rarely anything strictly for enjoyment. :P

I hope things at work start to get better.

Ok, where is Manzanar exactly? :)
Sheri: Sydney - couchshutterbug93 on September 16th, 2005 07:43 am (UTC)
Thanks, Carrie. :) And Manzanar is pretty far away from Santa Barbara (it took me 6 hours to drive there and 6 hours to come home...) :P I was a fool to drive it myself. :P I was thankful the policeman stopped me, I might've gotten into an accident for driving so fast (I just wanted to make it back before it got really dark...) :P

I've got to ask, why did you decide to teach Sydney to stretch? Of course, this question is coming from the girl who has a dog who responds to the command "cuddle".
Sheri: Sydney & Sherishutterbug93 on September 16th, 2005 07:45 am (UTC)
It's strange, but I've always loved to see Sydney stretch - I just thought it was the cutest thing and I wanted to get it on video. So as a puppy, I trained her to stretch on command. :) How cute that Ben will cuddle on command! :D

"My first real job was working at Mrs. Field's Cookies in the mall near my house and to this day I just can't look at a Mrs. Field's cookie in quite the same way. :P"

Okay this has me wondering, only because it's my name now.
Sheri: Sydney - couchshutterbug93 on September 16th, 2005 07:48 am (UTC)
That's so cute that you're Mrs. Fields too. :) I loved Mrs. Fields' Cookies until I worked there and had to clean up after it day in and day out. :P The cookies taste good, but I still can't eat them till this day... :(

Christina is addicted to Sukodu, well the last time I saw her she was. ;-) Christina also wants to get into photography.

I loooooove Soko Ga Shiritai! That's what we watching every weekday, well unless it's a repeat or the subject they're covering is weeeeeeeeird. Have you seen that show at about 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, Next Stop Discovery? It's also reaaaaaaally good!
Sheri: Sydney - couchshutterbug93 on September 17th, 2005 05:24 pm (UTC)
I have seen it - it is good! :) Have you ever seen "Challengers of Fire?" Some of the contests and challenges are SO mean! I saw one where they made a baby crawl through a maze to get to his mother and I felt so sorry for all the babies! They just cried and cried! What a mean thing to do - might psychologically hurt the child. :(
Kananigirlkananigirl on September 17th, 2005 09:36 pm (UTC)
Yes! I've seen the show and I think they're nuts! I mean you see them crying if they lose. I don't know if I'd ever do that for money...
