So that was it...

...the last episode of "Line of Fire" (for now). :( It saddens me that the show left on such a depressing note last night. Every single character seemed to be tormented beyond belief - what a way to leave the viewers. That and absolutely no sign of Julie last night! :( No Michael Irby either... :( I'm hoping there will be some way that the show could have a second life...

I fell asleep last night without updating. :P I had just enough time to compose an incoherent post about the final show on Julie Ann's board and then I passed out. :P I guess the bright side, if there is any, to having no LOF on Tuesdays is that I'll actually be able to get things done on Tuesday nights instead of being stuck in front of the TV - some consolation. :P

I finally made reservations for Sydney to be boarded while Mark & I are away next week. She won't be staying at our vet's office (because they told me that there wasn't someone there 24 hrs a day) so I made arrangements with another vet's office closer to my Mom's house. They seemed pretty reasonable and quoted me a price of $14 a day for her (based on her weight). In order to get her registered I had to have her medical records faxed to me from my vet's office - which turned out to be 8 pages of doom and gloom (from the two months that she was ill) :P I may be a worrier by nature, but I can't help but worry about leaving Sydney in boarding next week - I hope that she'll be okay. :(

And finally, I contacted a couple of old internet friends and we plan to meet up, in the city for lunch on Saturday before the matinee of "Millie". :) I haven't seen one of them since I was in NYC almost 3 years ago, so it'll be nice to catch up. :)

Woo hoo! The countdown to NYC is now just 8 days! :)

My hubby - the closet "American Idol" fan...

...actually said to me after tonight's episode, "I can't believe we missed two seasons of this... Where the heck have we been for the past two years?" ;) Haha! Apparently under a rock! :P He's far too amused by the show and will now remind me, "Remember American Idol is on tonight!" :D

And yikes! I did it again. :( I let my safety check expire on me. :( I'm planning on taking my car in to be checked before I go to work tomorrow morning - because probably the day I think about putting it off will be the day I'll get pulled over for not having it. :( And pathetic as it may sound, I did this last year too. :P

Work is going surprisingly well. I love my co-workers and I feel like I've become a part of their team - which is nice. :) And though I need to keep a bottle of Tylenol in my desk drawer for the problems that some of the reps hand over to us to fix, I think that I could get used to this. The one down side is I'm only making a fraction of what I made in my other position (with all the commissions). :P But to me, work is not all about the pay - at least I'm enjoying the work and really enjoying the people I work with. :)

Seven days and counting until NYC! :) Woo hoo! I'm finally going to get to see "Wicked"! I can't wait! :)
