Exams, Voting, & Hawaii Jaycees in the path of Hurricane Ivan...

I've finally finished my four online exams for work that I needed to take by the 15th of next month. :) I was feeling a little guilty about them since it's my job to remind and bug the reps to take them (if they don't their securities licenses will all go inactive) and I myself hadn't done them yet. :P Now I can go to work on Monday and bug them with a clear conscience. ;)

The primary election is tomorrow and the sign wavers were really out in force today on the drive home. :P I'm still a little up in the air about who to vote for in the Mayoral race. The two options we have are not the best... It's a non-partisan race - and the candidate surprisingly that I agree with more (platform wise) I think, is a member of the party I'm NOT in (not that it really matters since the race is non-partisan)... I always tend to vote on platform and not necessarily along party lines (though I tend NOT to agree with the views of those not in my party so I end up unconsciously voting with my party anyway...) :P

Yes, it was extremely hard to write that paragraph in a PC way that wouldn't give away which party I actually belong to... though anyone who's known me for any length of time will know. :)

Edited to add: after doing a lot of research, I found that the candidate that I wanted to support was indeed a member of my party. Which still proves that I tend to vote along party lines and not even know it. :P

And I'm not sure if smittenbyu heard about this from others, but only the Hawaii Jaycees would be so hardcore about going to National Convention that they'd attempt to fly into the path of Hurricane Ivan! I've served many years on the state board with Jon and Marcus and I'm so glad to hear that they're all okay... a little stranded, maybe (though Las Vegas isn't necessarily "stranded") - but okay nonetheless! :)

Hope you all have a nice evening, I'm off to grab Sydney and get some sleep. :)
