Way too MUCH food and "Spelling Bee" :)

I swear, Mark & I are going to be 500 pounds by the time this NYC trip is over!!! Sadly we both got up a little on the late side this afternoon so we didn't get the chance to eat breakfast at Pigalle - which was fine because it would've only added to the 5 billion calories we ended up consuming today. :P We definitely need to get back on our diets when we go home... :P

Mark & I ended up going to eat lunch at Say Cheese! Thanks to the recommendation of broadway_rose we went to try this great place on 9th Avenue. They had THE BEST grilled sandwiches ever!! I had a grilled cheese with bacon sandwich (which, in retrospect I should've been more adventurous and tried something more exotic). Mark had the "El Cubano" which was filled with pork, ham, swiss cheese, and pickles. We were in complete heaven!! :) We're definitely taking another trip back there before we head home. :)

We also took a walk around 5th Avenue and Rockefeller Center. :) On our way there, we stopped in the Nintendo World store and Mark went crazy! He didn't want to come out, I think he wanted to buy everything there. :) On the way back to the hotel we found this great bakery that sold THE BEST chocolate chip cookies. As full as we were, we just couldn't resist buying some to take back with us. :)

Then tonight we went to see "Spelling Bee" which we both adored! :) It was such a hilarious and cute show! The funniest parts were the audience interaction bits with the audience members who were picked to be "spellers." The entire cast was hysterical, but I really enjoyed Celia's performance the most... she was wonderful.

After the show we hung around the stage door in the hopes of seeing Celia. I RARELY ever go to the stage door - I really only go to see Kevin (or my other favorites in LA) so I was pretty apprehensive about staying after "Spelling Bee"... Sadly, Celia, Dan, and Jose never came out. :( But the performers that I did get to meet were all SO nice. :)

Finally we ended our evening with a yummy dinner at Applebee's and the best deep fried bread pudding dessert ever! :) It was served hot with vanilla ice cream, and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon with warm caramel dipping sauce. It was the best thing I ate all day! In fact, it was so good that Mark and I have decided that Applebee's is one place we HAVE to go to when we're in LA next... just to eat the bread pudding again. :) I sure hope the eating portion of this trip calms down a bit... if it doesn't, I won't be able to fit into the clothes I brought! :P

I'm off to get some sleep. Tomorrow we're seeing the "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" matinee and then meeting bigrivermusical for dinner, and then we're all seeing "Sweeney Todd." It should be a great day. :) Hope you all have a nice evening! :)
