Mark & Sheri 1999

I have a lot of things to write about, but I can't seem to find the right words...

I've been here - well, not here, exactly... I haven't really logged on to LJ in a while... And though I've been on the internet, I haven't really had the energy or the motivation to do anything constructive these days. I'm not sure what it is... Part of me thinks that all the recent problems at work have been affecting me more than I'm letting on. And I'm not one to take work problems home at all, but lately, some of the issues from work have been following me home. :P

The good news is that I finally uploaded the re-design of Misty's site. :) AND I've been making progress with the re-design for Julie's site as well. :) If there's anything I am motivated about it's working on my sites (and tweaking my MySpace page and LJ user info) -- I know, I really need to get my priorities in order. :P I've also been spending an inordinate amount of time on the internet looking up old reviews of "It's My Party" and information about Randal Kleiser and Harry Stein (the two in which the story was based...) And I'm not sure what it is about that movie, but I can't seem to shake my addiction for it...

In other, happier and less obsessive news, yesterday was Mark's birthday! :) He always teases me because I'm a half a year older than he is so I love July 28th - because it's the day that he has to stop making "old" jokes at my expense. :) We went to Alan Wong's for dinner last night and had the best time!! The food was wonderful and the service was great - it was an all around great evening. We loved our meals, but the highlight had to be the "chocolate sampler" dessert that they brought out for his birthday, complete with a candle and singing waiters. :) Mark really enjoyed himself. :)

Yesterday was also the last day for one of my co-workers. :( It was really sad to see her go because we've all grown rather close the last 2 and a half years and she really got us through a lot during our awful conversion... We had a big lunch to wish her well and say goodbye. And we all stood around when it was time to leave for the day... No one really wanted to go because no one really wanted to say goodbye to her. We're really going to miss her a lot! :(

Tomorrow Mark & I are meeting the in-laws for brunch at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. It should be a nice end to the weekend and a good way to unwind before another stressful week at work... I hope you're all doing well. I feel a little disconnected from everyone recently (through no one's fault but my own, of course!) and I apoligize for being so distant this past week. Lots of things are happening at work and I find that I really haven't been myself at all lately... :P
