Will & Grace - finger touch

Just as I feared...

...the news is spreading about my new position and already I'm sensing that people are not going to easily accept me in my new role right off the bat. :P I've already had a couple of our most difficult reps call to "test" me to see how far they can push me and I haven't even formally taken the position yet. :P It's okay though because I knew it was going to be a difficult road when I agreed to take the job in the first place and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to earn everyone's respect in the position. I know that even those in the position before me had to earn it, so why should I have it any easier? It's just a little frustrating for me right now...

I apologize for not having been here for a while... with everything going on at work and on my business front, I've been way too exhausted to stop by and have been spending most of my internet time communicating with a potential client about a site and updating the sites that I currently maintain. I've also been falling asleep at the oddest hours - some nights not until 3am and others as early as 8pm... :P

Throughout the week, I've also been spending way too much time watching my old "Will & Grace" DVDs... Sometimes a little escapism is needed just so I can get through all the stress of my work week... :P My favorite string of episodes are the ones with Will and his then-boyfriend Matt (played by Patrick Dempsey) in the third season. "Brothers; A Love Story" has got to be my all time favorite episode - the one in which Will breaks up with Matt, who has gone back into the closet after taking a very public on-air sportscasting job. It's funny, but also pretty heartbreaking at the same time. I was never really a HUGE Patrick Dempsey fan, but I have to say that when he whispers his last line to Will ("I wish I could, but I can't...") and there are tears in his eyes... well, that just gets me every time. BTW, Season 5 is going to be released in two days and I can't wait. :)

*SIGH*

On another non-escapism note, Mark & I went to a first birthday party last night for my co-worker's son. It was so nice to see so many of my co-workers there with their families. I'd been going to a lot of first birthdays in my early 30's, but it seems, now that I'm a bit older I rarely go to them... Before I know it I'll be going to graduation parties for all my friends' children! :P

I'd better run and wake up my sleepy hubby. I have some web work to do and then Mark & I are heading to Robek's for my favorite smoothie (South Pacific Squeeze with Li Hing Mui - YUMMY!!) Hope you're all having a nice weekend! Big *HUGS* to you!! :)
