mind you, iSign - not well

So, I called in sick for work today...

...it's been a long weekend of feeling awful, not getting any sleep, and trying not to MELT in the intense heat and humidity here... :P I am feeling a great deal better than I did this morning and I'm pretty confident I'll be able to face work tomorrow. (Well, any reservations I might have don't have a thing to do with being ill,... but that's an entirely separate post.) ;P

On a much happier note, I registered for my night school classes again! :) After nearly 6 months, they're finally offering my class (ASL 2B) so I thought I'd take advantage of it. Of course, that means having even less time to do things after work than usual - but what would my life be without a bunch of good stress that I have to juggle? ;) Besides, my signing has gone from rusty to almost non-existent in the time I've been out of class, so this will be good to get back in to it again.

On another happy note, I wanted to congratulate my dear friends karmastyx and Wade on the birth their darling son, Wiley! Also congratulations to careleswhisper and rripley on becoming aunt and uncle! :) LOVE you guys!! Can't wait to meet the newest member of the family!! :)

What else? Oh, "The Marvelous Wonderettes" closed last night after a year and almost 7 months at the El Portal Theatre... My friend Patrick was on hand to see closing night and I can only imagine how emotional it must've been for him - since he's seen the show over a dozen times. The show is moving to Laguna in July - which I will be going out to see, but I already know of one or two of the cast members from the El Portal production who will probably not be there... It's sad for me... almost the end of an era.

Speaking of the Wonderette girls, Kirsten Chandler is performing at the Colony Theatre tonight with Kevin Earley - they're doing a reading of "Bonnie & Clyde." Steven Stanley said he was going to be attending this - and I'm glad - I'd love to hear how it was. I've seen EVERY single Wonderette girl act opposite Kevin except for Kirsten... Darn. I wish I could see this.

One last note about the Wonderette girls before I have to run and get drugged up on more flu meds... They are ALL kicking my ass in Scramble! I think it's the Wonderette word game of choice, and they're all so good at it - every game they just beat me to a pulp. :) Word Twist is more my game... I've been playing it so much that I'm beginning to unconciously look for words in the street signs I see when I'm stuck in traffic... Yes, I'm a mess. :P

And on that appropriate note, time for more flu meds... Hope you're all having a nice start to your week. HUGS!
