Luke & Noah 3

Attending the 2008 Daytime Emmy Awards!! :) :)

Last night was Daytime Emmy night and although Van did not win :( :(, it was an incredible evening meeting all the members of the message board that I post on and actually getting the opportunity to meet Van and Jake. :) I'm still a bit incoherent from the red eye flight and then spending the whole wonderful day at the Emmys without any sleep..., but I wanted to quickly post a few pictures that I took last night.

Getting the opportunity to meet Van, even for the short time that I did, was amazing.... He was the sweetest, warmest person! Even with all the craziness of the press, everything going on that day, the tremendous crowd, he still made such an effort to connect with the people who approached him.

I have to admit being SOOO nervous about meeting him, but when I introduced myself he smiled warmly and shook my hand. I told him, "I flew from Hawaii to see you." His smile grew INCREDIBLY adorable and he said, "That's wonderful!! Well, I flew from New York to see you!!" He's SOOO adorable!!

Possibly the nicest thing about the evening, besides confirming what everyone has said about how WONDERFUL Van and Jake really are in person, was meeting all the other Nuke fans. It was just all around a wonderful, tiring, but VERY exciting evening. I think that adrenaline was keeping me awake through most of the Emmys, but once we all headed to Cat & The Fiddle for dinner after the show - I was wiped... I could barely eat because I couldn't keep my eyes open...

But, onto the photos... :)

Today I kind of took it easy, caught up on all my sleep, and actually missed the 3pm matinee at the Skirball Center. I did, however see Stewart Calhoun in his one act play for Moving Arts tonight. But more on that after I collapse... It's been quite a two days...

Big HUGS!!
