Deaf Santa - reminding me what the holidays are REALLY about.

I'll admit it's so easy to get lured into the holiday trap... the trap of feeling that the holidays are ONLY about the bad traffic, the no parking at the malls, and the dozens of sales and ads that bombard the TVs and newspapers. It's become too commercial, it's become too hectic... and somewhere along the way, I've become too grumpy... :P

But, just as it's always done, it just takes one day of me working at Deaf Santa to change all that! This is the third year that I've worked at this event and each year it never fails to put a smile on my face and melt my heart when I see the children's faces light up when they tell Santa what they want for Christmas and he signs back to them and tells them that he's deaf, too.

And yes, the increased traffic and long hours at work sometimes STILL get me down during this time of the year. Everyone's in a hurry, there are too many cars on the road, BIG boss wants all his end of the year reports,... but seeing the excitement and smiles on those children's faces ALWAYS reminds me exactly what this holiday season is REALLY all about. :)

Here are some photos that I took that day...
