to Shokudo (a new Japanese restaurant that opened up across the street from my old bank branch!) The food there was pretty delicious, but it's definitely NOT the place to go if you're trying to watch those calories! :P
We had a wonderful time! The food was great and we had the most amazing thing for dessert!! Mark and I ordered the Warm Honey Toast - which we had heard was basically toast with honey and vanilla ice cream... How harmful could that be, right? The waitress warned us that it was pretty big and that we might want to share it, but we didn't listen... When it came we were completely shocked!
We've definitely learned our lesson! The next time someone tells us it's better to share something, we'll believe them!! The dessert itself was delicious! Inside the crusts of the bread were smaller squares of bread that were cut out, fried and drizzled with honey. It was the perfect compliment to the vanilla ice cream and one of the best things I've ever eaten! Next time Mark & I go back we have to order it again, but next time - we're sharing!
I think it's been about three months (or so, maybe longer) since I've seen Susan and I've really missed spending time with her. :( While we were in the Jaycees we were nicknamed "twins"
because everyone had such a hard time telling us apart (I think on several occasions we were mistaken for each other!) Now that there's no Jaycees, I miss getting to spend time with my "twin!" :( I'm so glad that we got to spend some time together last night. :D
Hope you're all having a nice Sunday, I'm off to get some work done on Kevin's site. Big *HUGS* :)
