And we were all SO happy, until we realized that this was the official beginning of the eating season. :( It always starts off really innocently with cute, tiny individually wrapped butterfingers... then Thanksgiving creeps up and before we know it, it's Christmas! *SIGH* There's NO WAY I'll be able to stick to my healthy eating plan...at least until the New Year. :P
Speaking of the holidays and eating - each year Susan, Frederick, Mark & I plan a really nice dinner somewhere to celebrate the holidays and this year it looks like we're going to L'Uraku. :) It's become sort of a tradition to hold our own Christmas party since Mark & Susan have been boycotting their company's party for the past few years. I love L'Uraku because it's really quaint (it has painted umbrellas hanging upside down from the ceiling) and the food is delicious and there are a lot of good memories associated with the place (it's where I held Susan's bridal shower last summer). Should be a lot of fun. :)
In LA trip news, I'm seriously considering volunteering for this year's Ovation Awards ceremony (I inquired about it a while ago and just recently got a really great reply). The only problem is that the night of the ceremony is the same night as "No, No Nanette" at Musical Theatre Guild. :( It's such a shame they're on the same night... I REALLY want to see Kristi in Nanette, but volunteering for the ceremony could be a great, once in a lifetime experience. I just don't know... The only thing I do know is that I'll have to decide soon... :(
On a similar LA theatre note, I spent most of the evening adding the wonderful photos that Bets sent over from her performance in "Once Upon a Mattress". They're hilarious - and seeing them reminded me that the thing I love most about all of her performances is her flawless comedic timing - she's absolutely hysterical! :)
And finally, Mark and I have been on a quest recently for somewhere in Hawaii that sells a particular pepper and bacon flavored pretzel snack that Mark found in Japan called "Cratz." I went to look at the Glico website, but it did me absolutely no good at all, since it's all in Japanese. :P It's a shame we can't find them, though because they're one of the best things I've ever eaten!
I'm off to take care of some emails. Hope you all have a nice evening. :)
