The photos themselves turned out... okay. Sydney looks a little annoyed in them (which she probably was by the time the photos were taken) ;) and the sky was a little dreary so we might try to take them again this weekend. It'll probably depend on 1) how the weather is, and 2) if we feel up to it. ;)
On the work front, our big OSJ audit is underway and has been going on since Monday. So far, things seem to be going fine. The auditor is very pleasant and polite and seems to get along well with everyone. What I'm still worried about are the things he's writing us up for that we won't get to see until after he leaves. Somehow falling into a false sense of security when it comes to these audits is worse than knowing honestly how we're doing right then and there. :P Hopefully it won't be too bad.
And a big unhappy face from me in the "Commander in Chief" department... :( I was so happy that Julie finally got such a big part on tonight's episode, but darn it if it wasn't all due to the fact that it centered around her character getting fired! :( *SIGH* Well, as of September, she was still filming the show, so hopefully it's not truly the end for her character...
The show itself is holding my interest and I feel like I'm getting to know the main characters a lot more than I had initially expected. I like that Mac is a woman of principals and I adored the flashback that showed us that even when she was in congress, she couldn't be swayed. THIS is what I've been waiting to see - integrity attached to the character that makes us interested in her because we admire her, not because she's the first woman president.
And finally, I recently heard from an old friend of mine who I'd sadly lost contact with a few years ago. She was my college roommate and my maid of honor at my wedding. She went away to med school and traveled all over the mainland doing her residency and recently returned to Hawaii to start her practice. :) I'd sent her an invitation to join Friendster a couple of years ago and she just got a reminder email from them to join a few days ago! That sparked a short string of emails and hopefully we'll be able to be better about keeping in touch. Yay for Friendster! :)
Finally, in theatre news, I know this is old news by now, but I was happy to learn the other day that Lauren Kennedy will be taking over when Sara Ramirez leaves "Spamalot" in December. :) YAY for already having my tickets to see the show in January! :) Now if Mark & I could only get a flight to NYC that we're able to afford, we'll be in good shape. ;)
Hope you all have a nice evening. Big *HUGS* to all of you!
