Unfortunately my horrible luck with machinery doesn't end there. Shortly after that, I just happened to be using our office's fax machine when it suddenly decided to break on us! :P I swear, I'm SO cursed when it comes to office equipment! If you have a copy machine, fax, or printer that you want to keep safe -- please keep it FAR away from me! :P My boss thought it was the most hilarious thing and she'll probably never let me live it down. :D Since then whenever someone's having trouble with the copy machine she yells out, "Did Sheri-girl break it again?" :D *SIGH* I'm branded for life...
Speaking of work, tax season seems to be going pretty smoothly this year. *knocks wood* The brunt of the stress and anxiety is probably yet to come, but I think I'm actually ready for it this year. It never fails to amaze me each year how the number of people who wait until the very last minute to open up IRAs & make contributions just seems to grow! But I can hardly talk since Mark has yet to do our own taxes... :P Ooops! :P
I let my Mom borrow my RENT dvd today... She wanted to finally see what all my fuss lately was all about so I let her borrow it. She's pretty liberal for a Mom so I don't really worry too much about her reaction to it. I hope she likes it, but not TOO much... I let her borrow my season 1 of "West Wing" and didn't think I'd ever see it again. ;)
On an American Idol note, Mark was happy that Lisa didn't go home tonight, because she's one of his favorites. He's been feeling a lot of stress lately because she's been consistently in the bottom three. :( I loved it when she sang "I Am Changing" the first week of semi-finals, but since then, I think her song choices have been too safe. It's a shame though because she's very talented. My favorite is still Katharine - I loved that she sang a great showtune last night - "Come Rain or Come Shine". Julie Dixon Jackson sang it (with William Martinez) at the Fractured Broadway concert last month and it's hard to hear it sung better than that, but Katharine's version was great and ended up being one of my favorite performances of the night.
And speaking of theatre, Mark & I are going to see "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" next week Thursday night at Diamond Head Theatre. Hopefully he and I won't forget to go, like we did with "Aladdin" back in December! :( We've been pretty pleased with the quality of theatre at Diamond Head and we're happy to renew our season tickets next year. I'm hoping next year they have as diverse a season as they did this year. I'd love to see shows like "Parade," OR "Baby" performed there. :)
I'm off to hug my fuzzy dog (who is right now snoring very loudly next to me!) :) Hope you all have a nice evening. *HUGS*
