"Over the Hedge" was cute and we enjoyed it, but it didn't seem to have the strong emotional pull of some other animated movies we'd seen recently (i.e. "Ice Age") All in all, it was enjoyable and we were glad we went. :)
After the movie we headed to Kakaako Kitchen (where they make some of the best gourmet plate lunches around!) where I had some wonderful shoyu chicken and THE BEST bread pudding ever!! We'd gotten a GC for Ward Centre YEARS ago (I think it was in 2001) from Mark's parents that we never used. Recently when I was cleaning up, I found it and called to see if I could still use it... thankfully we could - so we used it for our lunch today. :) Yay for cleaning up, good things do happen when you clean the house. ;)
Tomorrow Mark & I are taking Sydney dog and heading to the big Pet Expo. It's a little bittersweet for us since we were originally supposed to meet Susan and Toby there as well. :( Because of the circumstances, we were thinking about not going this year, but since we've been taking Sydney to the Expo every year since she was a puppy, we didn't want to break our tradition. After the Expo, we're stopping by my Mom's to drop off her Mother's Day gift and spend some time with her and her neurotic dog, Yuki. :) Should be a fun day. :)
I'd better run... but, before I go, I wanted to wish those of you who are mothers on my friends' list, a very beautiful Mother's Day!! Big *HUGS* to you!!
