Sydney :)

A comment below from sabine10 made me think about Sydney in all this heat this weekend. Mark had given her a bath on Saturday because she was starting to smell a little "doggy" - not that Mark would necessarily know though, since he was born without the sense of smell (odd but true!) I've noticed that Sydney usually sheds fur for a few reasons, 1. if she's scared, 2. if it's hot, or 3. after we give her a bath. Well, on Saturday it must've been a combination of all three things because when I brushed her, HUGE chunks of fur came off on the brush. I was a little worried - seeing as how when I was done, there seemed to be enough fur on the carpet to make a whole new dog! :O And when I looked at her, she looked as though she lost about 5 pounds... All day at the in-laws everyone kept asking, "Did Sydney lose weight?" :D Wish there was some way I could do that for me... ;)

Went back to Curves today and it was simply invigorating! I worked out harder than I had the entire month and it felt great! I just have to remember this feeling so that when I start to get lazy and think about NOT going - I'll be motivated again. :)

I'm not sure if I ever mentioned but our Curves gives out "bucks" laurenybeth talks about it some in her journal - but it's monopoly-like money that we can win in different denominations for prizes later in the month. We can earn bucks for answering trivia questions (which the workers come by while we're working out to ask) or by unscrambling words that they write on a huge dry erase board in the back. I usually don't win any bucks because I'm too focused on working out to pay attention to the board or to the workers who come around, but I recently saw one of the prizes they were offering -- 2 tickets to see "Follies". :) Okay, so it's at the Diamond Head Theatre (which isn't exactly broadway...) but still,...it perked my interest. :)
